You've got my exact lawn mower--a 1999. I keep my Toro lawn mowers a long time. I mulch exclusively. Got to clean it out underneath every couple mows. A real workhorse.
Nice video! I have a similar Toro model to yours. These are the mowers that last 30 years. Tip, change your oil at least twice per year! It's only four bucks! I prefer this model over my Toro commercial mode.
Thanks mate... I just bought one of these and would have liked to see how the catcher goes on (it does look a bit weird) and it goes beautifully. Wonder if you know the part number for the catcher bag.
I believe you can get a rear discharge chute that hooks up to your rear bagger chute. Though you probably don’t really need it for this mower. They mulch grass fine with the mulch plug.
@@colormesarge it’s 59199, but good luck finding it. It’s a very hard part to find and it’s an expensive one. You’ll probably be paying $100 at least if you can find one. I was very lucky to find mine this spring through eBay. As for performance it discharges grass okay, but if the grass is super long, wet, or both it will probably clog up. You don’t really need it on these super recyclers. Just use the mulch plug and if the grass is super long then bag it. If you want to discharge with a super recycler I would probably get the newer SR4s. The have side discharge like the cheaper stamped recyclers which discharge pretty good IMO.
fatboyronny put the black handle down pull the mulch plug out then drop the bag on and lift the black handle back up to lock bag in place hope this helps.
i have 2 of those one with bag and one without brotherinlaw was tossing them out after selling his parents 2 houses after estate settlement anybody need one located in mass also on letgo
