Toro Timecutter Riding Mower Valve Cover Gasket Replacement! Kohler 7000 Series Oil Leak Fix! +Tips!

In this video, I show in detail how to fix a leaking valve cover on a riding mower. The machine in this video is a Toro Timecutter SS4235. This fix will work on ANY riding mower that has an oil leak at the valve cover gasket. In order to insure your machine does not leak, please follow the procedures in this video exactly as I show them. Thank you.

Thanks Terence. I have the same mower as you do Toro/Time cutter SS4235-Kohler 22hp engine. The Kohler Shop Manuel procedure only advises to use the 'make-a-gasket' (but does not mention an actual gasket or that one even exists). I did not know that a hard gasket as you show even existed. This time I'm repairing the leak as you have showed with the 'make-a-gasket' and hard gasket to fix the leak. This will make the 4th time in 10 years that I've had this mower and will have made this repair; and, hopefully the leak will stop for many years to come. Thanks again.

If you do exactly as I did, this will fix your issue for a very long time. I ran the heck out of my mower after this just to see how well it would hold up and it looks exactly as it did when I fixed it. Thank YOU for watching my content.

Thanks T. Mine has always leaked from new. I’ll be doing your fix as soon as I can. I just always assumed that topping off the oil was “too much” for the engine, as it would leak more when full. Appreciate the work of your video!

@@TerenceDIY Sadly when I opened the right side up, the push rods were broken and the other bent. I replaced them, but not sure if got them exactly to specs. It runs good still, no oil leak anymore.
