Incredible series. Watching the Indy 500 and honestly want GPlaps commentary as I feel blind! How you are able to race this game, whilst commentating the entire thing is a racing marvel. I could barely do 3 laps back in the day without messing up.
Way to stick with it and capitalize pretty well on Mr. Toronto himself, Michael Andretti, having a rough day. Looking forward to Michigan, which was often my favorite race of the year in real life.
Not a criticism, just a slight correction. It's Lakeshore Boulevard. The stadium was used for baseball, football and soccer. It was demolished and replaced with a new stadium, currently called BMO Field (sponsorship name), used primarily for the Toronto FC in the MLS but also for football. I work almost every day close to the track and have often driven my little Toyota over the kerbs they keep year round in preparation for the race. The alpha version of the higher resolution looked great.
Fittipaldi needed a splash that he had planned for lap 194, but Al being just shy of a lap down vs. a full lap down wouldn’t have mattered all that much. A pit speed limit existed at Indy in 1994 but it was 100mph, so the delta was nowhere near what it is now.
