🚨Attention ladies‼️🗣️ Don’t get assaulted by someone even remotely famous at all cost! because the world will sweep it under the rug and continue praising them. We are on our own apparently.
The cut from “Toronto has the hottest girls” to “I like to lay out like a dead fish” has to be one of the greatest transitions in any form of media ever
The major problem with Toronto, is that all the immigrant children are horribly rich and rely on their parents for everything. That's why they have these disgusting personalities and are usually brought back down to earth when someone slaps them or they finally end up having to get a job or go to rehab.
@@bond182. Sagittarius Shawty in the opening clip... I live under a rock and even I know who that girly is.. she is infamous.. a very interesting person.. look her up she has a lot of social media
it's amazing how he genuinely engages w people that are so far detached from reality. He doesn't treat them like weirdos. He treats them like people...even w the girl talking about $$$$ing on people. he connects w everyone and passes no judgement.
@The4valanche I get your point. but just because everyone's own experiences are real, that does not mean they are living in the real world and within social norms for humans. For example the bippers on San Fran who are talking about it like they are going to work...the guy who thinks he is jesus...the girl in the example above...these people are beyond the fringes of social norms. What they are doing is real enough to them..but stealing from peoples cars and getting banned from auto parts stores so you can't buy spark plugs to break windows is the perfect example of someone who is detached from the reality of life.
@@FallOnThese You're confusing reality with social norms. What's the difference between a man claiming he's the son of god 2000 years ago and a man doing the same thing today? Social norms tell you that the guy who did it 2000 years back has the right to do it but the guy who's claiming it today is crazy. That doesn't make it real. Social norms tell you that it's okay for a rich guy in a suit to steal from you but it's bad when a poor guy does the same thing. You're the one who's detached from reality my dude. You have been conditioned.
Toronto is sick for having convos like that. Most of the people who look sketch are actually chill and have interesting takes you'd never hear if you avoided them.
I just came from the San Francisco video, and I cannot express how much I love that Andrew covers some extremely complex issues that are very serious, but can also come out and stick to the roots of his comedic style of journalism. Dude is what we need as a society.
lol love it. From now on I'm going to imagine that none of the people who have rapped to Andrew have been rappers at all.. people just feel an uncontrollable urge to freestyle whenever Andrew is filming (gotta be a cursed camera or something)
A subtle but critical part of why Channel 5 is so good is that Andrew can keep the conversation moving and engaging despite significant conversational obstacles.
So far this is my favorite video on this channel. I guess it's the variety and the way the audio and the video is put together and the content which is fun and sparks even more curiosity.
Andrew: "Whats your most traumatic childhood memory?" Kyle: revisits suppressed dark place -- "Fuck." reemerges from said dark place -- "I don't really have one man..."
I think your darkest memory is always your first bad memory because it’s really hard for something to be worse than the first bad thing you experience also the worst thing you ever experienced is the worst thing you ever experienced
the comparison to "raw chicken" makes sense when you think about the fact that most of what occupies her mind on a daily basis are thoughts of food items
One of the most thought provoking elements of the Channel 5 content repertoire is that all of these people had an entire life that led them to a singular, chance moment to be in front of Andrew's microphone. It can feel like the opposite at times, like these people spawned in the middle of the street, with some insane, contrived backstory that drives them to rap poorly and spontaneously. But they ARE real lol. Incredible.
Well the ‘Westin road’ girl is a currently absurdly famous rapper and tik tok star for lying about her life, so it’s the actual exact opposite of that lmao
Andrew! You have leveled up hard. You are carrying beautiful storytelling. Thanks for giving us all a deeper understanding of what’s true in this world! Much love!! ❤❤❤
French-Canadians have no reason to learn English if they live in Quebec. French-Canadians are not catered to in places like B.C. and Alberta, a uni-lingual Francophone person has less of Canada to access than an Anglophone. Anglophones have an entire country. We only have one province. French-Canadians bombed buildings and deleted English politicians in the 60s, they got trained by Palestinians in Jordan, teamed up with the Black Panthers and that's what gave us the power to run our own province and be taken seriously. You think we're stuck up? We don't care. Just don't pretend that you care about immigrants when Ottawa blocks 70% of French speaking Africans from coming into Quebec just because they do not speak English. In a place where they would never need it in the first place. Nah just bring in hundreds of thousands of south-east-Asian people, that's OK cause they speak English. The English did not "give" us anything. We fought tooth and nail for it while we were illiterate and living in shanty towns. The IRISH of all people were oppressive to French-Canadians in Quebec and Ontario, things like the Shiner's War happened where the Irish would r*pe and m*rder French-Canadian women in the streets and the cops looked the other way.
Trust Andrew to find the most outlandish characters ever somehow. He must have a team looking up the sketchiest areas and finding the craziest human beings ever. I've been spending time in Toronto for 30 years and these people are alien to me. "I don't fight cause that's ratchet and I'm a grown woman" from someone who gets paid to have explosive diarrhea on mens chests is kind of hard to understand.
I have been living in downtown Toronto for 12+ years now. In an area that is notorious for it’s low income. I have never met anyone like this. I meet a LOT of different people here, and never someone who speaks like this. Kyle may be the closest, but his opinions are so insane. He’s the idiot you hear speaking on the streetcar and laugh at for 10 minutes with your friend before never seeing again.
The people he interviewed are actual known in Toronto as memes. They have all gone viral on Toronto insta pages for various things. My personal favorite is bucks be ballin Kinda jokes that he found all the jokes of Toronto and put them on camera LOL
Something very poetic about a bunch of completely different people from all walks of life, the wheelies, poop eater, elongated cash me outside girl and some chilling security guards, all perched up on a rooftop with a city back drop in the night.
This was genuinely incredible. As a Newfoundlander who spent 7 years in toronto and now lives in Hamilton, I can confirm both those cities were mentioned in this video.
also a newfoundlander in toronto, this city fucking sucks, but if channel 5 did this to the skeets in Newfoundland most likely they would steal his film equipment, so, can't throw stones from glass houses
100% agree. I live in Cambridge, and the same shit woukd happen here. All my family in Newfoundland have mainly left because of all of the shit going on, but they come here and its the same shit. @@faemaiden8577
Man im looking at moving to newfoundland, thats where my dads whole side of the family is from and they all moved back. Fuck Ontario, this province is a dump lol
@jessegoodyear5547 This was 100% the same thing as myself. My dad's whole side of his family lives there, lived there, etc., I also have a few friends I grew up with who moved there as well. You will like it if you're looking for a slower pace of life, and depending on where you are looking work wise, car, friends, etc., I would move there in a heartbeat to St. John's. The island (Bell Island) is horrible nowadays would definitely stay away from there. I will one day either be there or out west with my mom's side of the family. I actually love it out west as well. Ontario use to be the place to come but now it's a giant shit hole. Good luck 👍 😊
Surrey, BC used to be the car theft capital not just of the province, not just of Canada, but of all North America. The mayor at the time said, "Sometimes you have to steal a car to make a court date because we don't have good transit."
Surrey has this stereotype of being a crime hotspot in B.C. but it's improved a lot by recently adding more buildings, stores, and roads. It's really not as bad as people make it out to be. The local government has been funding more infrastructure projects and modernizing places like Guildford, Fleetwood, and Cloverdale the past few years. It's become much, much safer. While it doesn't compare to Vancouver which is a 30 min ride away, Surrey is still a beautiful city. I'm not currently sure about Whalley or Newton though, those places are REALLY shady and could probably use another decade of construction and cleanup lol
Yeah, everybody sucks in this video, but that’s pretty common in Channel 5 vids! He searches out some of the shittiest and dumbest people in every region 😂
There was a brief clip of Debby in here. She a Toronto Icon that got exploited on social media and sadly died of an overdose. I had the pleasure of meeting and hanging with her a few months before her passing. RIP Debby.
as soon as i saw her i paused and looked for this comment, it was so sad when she passed man i never met her but i'm local to toronto so would always hear about her and see her. RIP debby man gone too soon.
Andrew, you HAVE to go to Montreal now. It is another Canada, along with its own brand of authentic Quebecois madness and fire. Combines the chaos of Toronto with the chill and cultured vibe of a European city. Hands down my favorite city in North America. You'll find some equally wild characters there too, but with 100% more TABARNAK!
Yeah, I think we've all maybe had a co-worker or two that was a little bit like this; But these eccentric individuals probably don't represent the average person super accurately. It was entertaining, though. Maybe I need to get out more.
I'm old I don't have any fuckin clue what's going on I grew up with all the Somalian, Persian, Jamaican slang too but fuck me I never thought to freestyle If I was was born in 2002 maybe I'd be in this video too
Andrew. You are a modern day anthropologist. You do such good work bringing us the full and beautiful spectrum of humans on the north American continent.
Andrew as always is phenomenal as a host - The editing needs more recognition though haha this was fantastic! When he asked the dude in the pool what his most traumatic experience was and it shows him pause to think and how the music gets all tense just for him to shrug it off and say he didn't have one and the way the music popped back to the happy music had me laughing. Overall great video y'all!
I love that we got a cameo from Gardaworld being ineffective. Might be the first time in 20 years I've seen them actually attempt to do their jobs, lol.
Having a national sport is so cool. When everyone plays hockey, like damn near everyone, it makes it easier to actually play a sport with people in your community.
@@tugahenrik1 US national sport is Baseball. Although, Football has been overshadowing Baseball for some time now. If you want to talk international that transcends language, culture, ethnicity, and religion, that's going to be Soccer (or Football if you prefer that term).
I think I’ve realized why I love his videos - I keep waiting for him to take a stance and tell me what he thinks I should think, but it never comes. A true exposition journalist who just shows the world for what it is without forcing his own views
This video has made me regret telling anybody that I'm from Toronto. Andrew's editors made this video so much funnier though, the cut at 13:56 had me wheezing and the beat coming in randomly during some of the interviews was so good
Man you quickly became one of my favorite channels. I love your style, there's something about it that gives me independent film festival vibes idk really how to put it into words
Andrew you should do a tour of the fucked up Southern Ontario cities. They’re already nicely lined up from Niagara Falls, Hamilton, Brantford, London to Sarnia. It’s magic how you capture the vibes, keep up the great work!
It cracks me up that no matter where you go in the world the majority of the locals believe they live in the best place because that's where all there best memories happened and they spent tons of time finding the cool stuff to do vs. Just passing through being a visitor/outsider it's very interesting
Yeah and the people passing through are why globalism is destroying the west because these awholes have mo loyalty to anything except probably money and being destroyers
LMAAAO, the switch of the music played in the background when Kyle is asked about his most traumatic childhood memory and then his answer switched right back to the music before made me laugh
Man when Kyle said what his life was like back then, it hit me with a bit of nostalgia too. Going to Ontario Place, CNE, Toronto Island, Chuck E Cheese, harveys and burger king hitting different
I feel like that moment at 10:43 is going unnoticed by a lot of people. That ominous music creeping in to it completely cutting out absolutely killed me 🤣
@@chasebehar1247 it's a reference to a TV clip from 2004 TV show "Manhunt", a guy named Kevin was told that his dog died, and he reacted to that information by posing to a camera.
Channel 5 is true journalism. Masterpiece every new vid lol. The editing is incredible . I love the humor of course, but y’all are masters of the craft
I find your work truly fantastic. It is a really interesting X-Ray view of north american youth culture. As a mexican I am looking forward to the episode from the amigas and amigos down south. Cheers fam!
This was fun, but I feel so much of what makes Toronto truly interesting was missed. It's the city of 1000 villages, cross the street and the whole vibe will change. Spend a day in Kenzington Market meeting all the people there, then go two blocks east and you're in the financial district meeting completely different people.
Oh, snap. That roll through Sauga has my store featured at the start of it; Techknow Space, just before the Keg! Thanks for featuring my hood, eh? Ok, I'll continue watching now...
You need to come to Toronto for caribanna. Over a million people come to the city for one weekend partying it up to get a piece. It's the one weekend every year that ALL HOTELS are sold out.
Thank You AGAIN Andrew for coming back to US Viewers…As a documentary filmmaker, I absolutely love your RAW, UPBEAT, ACCEPTING approach to all the worlds “tribes”.
It's concerning that you class yourself as a documentary filmmaker yet you have zero grasp on grammar, have no idea when to capitalise words and for some strange reason you write random words in all capital letters. What kind of special needs is this?
Yet again another unusually insightful video showcasing people’s viewpoints and attitudes. I truly appreciate the work and fantastic journalism that AC is committed to. Just glorious! 😊
I mean, I've probably expressed this sentiment on a previous video, but I really appreciate what you do. I'm starting college rn, like 20 years later than normal, and honestly... without your show, I don't think some of these kids I go to school with would know much about what's going on lol. Very sad statement, but I guess it would be sadder if they weren't being reached at all.
You keep doing you, brother. I started my first year earlier in January. It's never too late to do College/Uni, everyone has different circumstances :)
This is so diverse and I love it. I thought I was a weirdo but I don’t even think they would use any of my answers in the video when they have these legends
