So sad 😢 if only motorists could slow down and respect others that are more vulnerable on the streets. There’s a way to share the streets to help prevent anymore accidents. Plenty of reasons to be on a bike but not ride them enough to be lean. Some may be using them as a way to avoid using cars, some may be new to cycling cirque the 2020 crisis, some may be old or injured and can't ride fast, some may have learned to cycle as adults, some could just like the community of it all and the physical/mental health benefits. One has to think about the nuance before reaching certain conclusions. If physical appearance was the critique, then the obvious observation would be that weight loss is a battle won at the dinner table not on a bike and yet many of these people looked to be quite healthy. But this is a video about honoring a cyclist, with the hopes of also improving bike safety.

@@CorncropTv I'm aware of all that. It was just an observation. I do feel that regardless of whatever purpose someone has in mind for being on a bike, like to work or to stores or whatever, the idea of not getting very respectable exercise out of it routinely, is odd and self-defeating.

It's always the cyclist's fault, huh? Drivers are clearly perfect beings and never at fault. It's up to the car to pass safely from the comfort of their 2 tonne metal box.

That is such a weak "argument". Bicycles ARE traffic and motor vehicles ARE the obstructions more often than not.
