Black cars are the hardest to hide defects on. Here is my demonstration of Torque Details Ceramic Shine is it worth the $$$? www.torquedetail.com/pages/ho...
It's my wife's 1999 Izuzu Rodeo and she's always parked it inside the Garage. She Loves her car, although she can afford to buy a new one,and you know us guys, whatever makes them happy. The clear coat on the silver metallic is in great condition,so as you stated before you started spraying t/Ceramic Shine, the Rodeo has old swirls marks on the hood but they don't scream at you.As of now Ive only done one Ceramic Shine coat and the silver star as she calls it is starting to Shine Very Nice...the swirls are not as profound so I'll keep spraying and buffing like you did. I was about to quit until i saw you apply several coatings. Thanks for the tip, also you have a very nice ride...that Challenger shines like a diamond.
I use this for all my cars... Went to a classic car show and saw that almost all the owners there were using this and their cars looked amazing. I think it is worth the $40. I only had to use about 3 ounces of this for my car, you don't need much. It does last for almost a year, for those who are lazy and wait that long. But I redo mine after seven months to keep the shine and feel.
fyi always do wheels and tires first dont go in circular motion go back and forth on paint you wont get swirls ALSO it takes 5 hours to cure your wasting product using a lot before it cures
It looks definitely worth it. You know, I had no idea how to use this stuff, I just bought some recently but haven’t used it yet. Couldn’t find anyone who explained it as good as you did. I’m definitely convinced to do it on the weekend.. (2 days for me in Sydney) I’ve got the exact same bottle, I bought 3. So def will spend a few hours on Saturday
Clay first, use HD speed with orbital polisher, then spray with torque not a lot, let cure for 10to 24 hrs, then spray on turtle wax seal and shine. Let cure for 8hrs or more. Car will look brand new.
You need to hand wash the car.. Really good. Then you need to high speed buff the car and get all the swirl marks/very minor scratches out.. Then you apply the ceramic coating..if you follow the steps your car will look amazing! For best results.. keep the car in your garage at least 24 hours for it to cure I actually apply one good coat of the ceramic coating. Then let cure for 24 hours. Then apply a second coat. You will not be disappointed!!
I believe Melissa is giving the best advice here. This car needed some prep work before applying the ceramic coating. It might have even needed some wet sanding prior to all of this. It looks like that hood had some deep swirl marks that needed to be removed. Black is hard to take care of properly and when it gets this damaged like this, it needs some aggressive prep. As long as there is still clear coat on the paint, wet sanding and buffing will remove all these swirl marks. Believe me, it's not easy to do this type of prep and this is why detailers charge so much. If you want to do it yourself, there are plenty of videos out there to guide you, just be prepared for the hard work to do it.
I listed the correct way to do it for you.. That is a very nice car!!! You can’t leave it like that.. Would love to see what it looks like after doing it the correct way👍.. I guarantee you will love it!!!
After watching several videos on Torque shine, it seems that you have to really start out with good clean paint and that this product doesn't fix swirl marks or scratches. It looks like you just cover up the imperfections, but it sure looks good. So, do a little polishing then use this product. I wonder if Torque shine works well on airplanes?
Wow $40 I paid $29 on Amazon / but frist u need to wash it with the torque ceramic soap and dry it then put the torque ceramic shine on/ u only need I-3 sparys on each parts of the car, now it can't wet for a week for it to really work, O yeah it's good for ur windows as well
Well probably not enough for a video however its been a cpl months and still a decent shine but my RT only see's sunny conditions. I would say just about due for a cleaning no way would it last 6 months though
Initially it looks great and keeps a shine however I only bring it out of the garage in nice weather so hard to say how long it would last under normal circumstances so in order to keep it up you would normally have to keep applying so no just because of cost I would not. For an event I would keep a bottle available but not for daily use. Sorry for the longwinded answer...
My good Sir, you really need to see a "real" detailer. It says to wash and clay bar for a reason. Your just "cleaning" your car with black magic spray on wax. You can't add a ceramic coating onto another wax your just building films of dirt, which in turn will mess up your clear coat and paint. The clay bar is to remove microscopic dirt and dust particles that you can't see with the naked eye. Need to wash with something like chemical guys clean slate, then clay bar, and do the paint correction to get rid of swirl marks, then add the ceramic.Ceramic coating/ spray does not get rid of scratches it gives a layer of added protection to what is already on there. This is why a person who knows what they are doing charge so much, because it takes time. Hope this helps
Thanks for the comment I agree 100% follow the directions to a tee for best results. In my defense my car does not see any inclement weather not even rain. I appreciate the knowledge drop for all to be informed!
u are making swirl marks worse by rubbing in a circle motion dry it going the length of the whole panel and it will reduce the marks and go long ways with the paint
Stop buying 💩 nuggets. “Ceramic”.. the industry has been FOS forever. Find a professional shop, and use the products they use; even if it’s 3M; which is a adhesive- Marketing Co.
