Thank you so much!! This is my favorite bone health video by far! I loved that there was no mindless chatter or bubbly encouragement, just straight forward explanation and consistent reminders for good form, without long pauses to talk. I also loved that you rolled with the small mistakes! Made me feel more comfortable being imperfect (especially when I couldn’t get the front back jumping back right)! Thanks again!

I love your workouts and how you teach. I have osteoporosis even though I have always been active and eat well. I am 62 and am so confused by all the different things I read about building bone density. Having been a runner for over 40 years as well as strength training I was shocked to have osteoporosis. And now I read about having to”lift heavy” which confuses me as it puts lots of load on my spine. Especially if I am lifting overhead I can feel it in my back. So, I do what feel right for me but am I helping my bones?

I agree, it all so conflicting and confusing. The truth is the right recipe is different for every person based on other health factors. Lifting heavier weight is know to help bone density, but sometimes we need to modify exercises to not irritate a joint or injury. It's a balance. That's why I often tell people to get specific guidance and coaching to optimize your training. It's also important to say that lifting heavy does not start the first day, week, or month. It needs to be built slowly over time. Keep up the great work!

I did it! Great workout. I, too, appreciate the non-spandex, no-shrill, lack of fake exuberance; never liked that shtuff. I do have a question: I have lower back Osteo, which I thought prohibited me from any kind of jumping. Would I be able to do the jumping after doing this workout a certain number of times?

I cannot say what you would be able to do. But I can say that I have clients that build up to jumps over time.

Dr. Lisa, I am loving these workouts! They are perfect. I feel safe, but not coddled. You have a fantastic instructional persona, very warm, sincere, you make me laugh, and I feel right at home. Thank you so much! About a year ago, I received a DEXA scan of -2.6 in my lumbar spine and freaked out (the rest of the DEXA was fine). I have been working out with weights, doing yoga and pickleball for years, I'm very fit and I eat very healthy also. So that was a shock. There is a ton of information, on the internet, however, the people are either sensationalists, or chirpy, or they talk to you like a child. You are matter of fact, and you have clients who are improving through these workouts. It's so reassuring. I wish I would have found you sooner. However, so happy to have found you now. The workouts make me feel strong, and just the right amount of tired. You're part of my every day workout now. Wishing you all the best! -Sara

This was a good workout, really like the warm up and mat exercise. The video is not only good for osteoporis but also for spinal stenosis which I have also. I like when you remind to hold your core in. You are a great instructor.

I watched this first then did it just now whoa I’m real sweaty thanks ,I turned off my space heater to that point, in the first start of the exercise that is . ❤the sweaty feels good ❤
