At this point I'm wondering if it would be easier to just order better ones that won't ware out on me so fast rather than change the bushings

Would also like to know about how many miles before you should replace them...?

Where did you get that cool little tool for unseating the apron clip? I always mangle the ones in my truck with a flathead screwdriver, then they don't re-install so well.

How often or when should I replace my uniballs? Also when should you replace the bushings? I have had it for about 2 years now and put probably 10-12k miles on them. The bushings look fine.

they are poly urethane so long time. I replaced at around 50k miles but have lots of hard off road and winter salt driving. i figured fuck ayyyyyy

Not sure if I should get the heims or the Urethane bushing version... Im a daily driver, with a lot of offroading, and I like going fast :) And how is the noise? Heard it can sqeuak
@TotalChaosFabrication
@TotalChaosFabrication 7 месяцев назад
Typically we suggest the bushing version for the majority of applications. Heims are usually saved for vehicles that need some extra adjustment (lifted over 3", previous frame damage, etc.). That said, if you want heims for daily driving and off road use they work just fine too. Bushings can squeak but with regular maintenance they're not bad.

The noise is awful, it scares me every time. This is my daily driver a and I hate the noise

Stop including King 2.5 shocks in your 2.5 long travel kit for the Toyota Sequoia they do not fit they will break . And it would have been nice to know that the Sequoia requires a DualShock in the front triple bypass you didn't state that when you sold your long travel kit to me now I have to upgrade to dual shocks and I have to change my rear shocks to the outboard with triple bypass has instead of the 2.5 you have in your kit. They don't work for the Toyota Sequoia... It cost me a lot more time and money you should revamp your kit for the Toyota Sequoia so that way all the right parts are in that kit. Or at least make the customer aware. But the 2.5 adjustable compression for the rear or not the right shocks people are just going to break them... I love total chaos but this kit was very disappointing being that I have to spend extra money for unexpected things because the kit does not work for the Sequoia..
@TotalChaosFabrication
@TotalChaosFabrication 10 месяцев назад
What year Sequoia do you have? Both our 1st and 2nd Gen Sequoia long travel kits are available with a long travel specific King 2.5" coilover built to our specs. We have never had an issue with those and the kits do not require a secondary bypass shock to run correctly, although the lower control arms are tabbed for them if you choose to add a set for maximum tunability. The rear end on both generations of Sequoias are limited to a stock replacement 2.5" shock with remote reservoirs from King. There is not a specific long travel rear shock built for those vehicles and anything beyond a stock replacement would be a custom job - not something we offer. Did you buy the kit directly from us? Please email info@chaosfab.com with some more information and we'll get you squared away. Thanks!

@@TotalChaosFabrication Aaron from summit in Prescott ordered the kit and he did tell me he had to order a lot of stuff separate that wasn't included my earlier comment was based on lack of knowledge

@@TotalChaosFabrication I sent you guys explaining it. I had a little Miss information before I posted my original comment. Every time I get in my Sequoia it amazes me how well it handles. Definitely have the best product on the market.. I wasn't aware until the guy that ordered them from you for me had to order a lot of stuff separate. I thought the things that he ordered were all included in the kit so that was my mistake. I definitely would not put anything else on my vehicles except Total Chaos.. first generation Sequoia 05 limited. Sitting on 35 nitto ridge grapplers with method beadlock Wheels. Coastal off-road bumpers Rock sliders Eton front and rear lockers 4.88 gears flared fiberglass front fenders. There's a video on my RU-vid page..

@@TotalChaosFabrication also I am going to need dual shocks in the front triple bypass.. I already had it hit my engine compartment. Aaron said someone at total chaos recommended it. But to leave the hard bump stop I'm actually going to replace that with a hydraulic bump stop and the dual shocks. I've added weight to the front end and I plan on adding more weight to the whole vehicle.. and I am going to put it through a lot of abuse that's why I chose your company. And those 2.5 King OEM shocks snapped because of too much not to mention there is not enough room on the first gen Sequoia to mount those shocks with reservoir. But like you said I ain't going to do it custom. I'm not doing just your regular overland type off-roading. So I need it to handle the abuse I'm going to put it through. I go to a lot of gold claims that are in areas that you make your own trail and are almost impossible to get to eye steak each corner of those claims. And I run illegal prospectors off. So I need something reliable. I go to places your typical overlander off-roader won't go.
