Kind of funny they made such a badass trailer for a relatively minor patch. I know it's a big deal for Immortal Empires to be available for all WH3 players but this seems like the kind of trailer one would save for their 3.0 patch.

He doesn't look Franz in the eye when Franz suggests an alliance, instead he looks down like what he needed to say was going to hurt. Teclis' poor choice of words was just a much needed excuse.

He was sworn to hold a grudge with the elves, but he also was sworn to back up the heirs of Sigmar, so Thorgrim’s in a bit of a catch 22 situation. Also, it’s nothing but headcanon on my part, but I like to believe that Thorgrim genuinely likes and respects Franz the same way Kurgan Ironbeard respected Sigmar.

@@triploshadow The model for the regular skaven warlord also has red armour and skulls. Also, the normal one has a longer mail skirt than Queek, like the one in the trailer.

That decision is such a massive win, it definitely warranted a trailer of this caliber to go along with it. Hopefully this will mark the beginning of an amazing year of Warhammer

I’m new to this so I can play total war hammer 3 immortal empires and not have to purchase the first two games to have those units from the first two games ? How about dlcs?

@@justchrisgaming173 Before patch 2.4, owning Warhammer 1 and Warhammer 2 was a requirement to play the Immortal Empires map in the first place. Now you can play the Immortal Empires map just by owning Warhammer 3. You'll have access to the Warhammer 3 races that you own, as well as the free faction Bretonnia. You'll still need to buy the previous games in order to have access to their corresponding factions, and the same goes for DLC. But where you previously had to own Warhammer 2 in order to purchase the Prophet and the Warlord DLC, or Warhammer 1 in order to buy the King and the Warlord DLC, you're now able to buy that DLC regardless of whether or not you own those previous main games. Furthermore, you'll gain access to all free content tied to every faction where you own at least 1 legendary lord. So, for example, by purchasing the King and the Warlord DLC you'll not only unlock the Dwarf lord Belegar Ironhammer and the Greenskin lord Skarsnik; you'll also unlock three additional lords in the form of Thorek Ironbrow, Grombrindal and Wurrzag. Alternatively, by purchasing the Prophet and the Warlord DLC, you'll unlock Tehenhauin and Ikit Claw, as well as the free lords Tiktaq'to, Gor Rok and Tretch Craventail. DLC and the older games go on sale fairly often, sometimes with quite deep discounts, so I would recommend keeping an eye out. The Fanatical store currently has a 20 % sale on pretty much everything, and many of the Total War: Warhammer youtubers have referral links to that site if you're interested in supporting them.

Franz is actually almost certainly the most politically powerful person in the world (that isn't evil). Thorgrim is very much so focused on Dwarfs and a legendary diplomat (for a Dwarf) because he's willing to acknowledge some grudges aren't realistic, Finubar pretty much peaked before he was king and spends most of his time studying if not travelling, Alarielle is the real power and isn't technically supposed to be so at most she encourages relations with Wood Elves, people barely meet with Cathay.

The end times NEVER EXIST.

CA specifically stated that the Total War Warhammer universe WASN'T set in the same timeline of End Times. So the ending is "open" in their universe. Order tide ftw.

Because it so rarely happens in the lore. And even when the different Order Factions do come together it’s usually the leaders that just send emissaries to a meeting spot rather than going themselves

But he’s more a scholar and explorer than he is a Tactician or Fighter (tho he’s not lacking either). Tyrion is his best friend and a Masterful general and fighter hence why he leads the main high elf faction in the campaign

I wish it was more than just Wulfrik. Because you got Archaon right there just idle as his warriors rush forward, would have been awesome to see the rest of Chaos' champions running ahead of him in the same way.

An entire diplomatic delegation of the old world shows up and speaks to them. They ignore every single word, Then consult a 10,000 year old stone calendar, then look at the stars, then back at the diplomats and say "Ok we wont kill you today"

I also noticed that Kislev and Cathay started leaving the second they saw the bickering unfold. With both of them being on the front lines of any Chaos incursion, they know they don't have the time for this nonsense.

So were Tyrion, Grombrindal and the whole of Bretonnia... its just that the Lizardmen and the Wood Elves are pretty much impossible diplomacy partners. But they do count as staunch order allies.

@@the_tactician9858 I feel like both the Wood Elves and the Lizardmen should have been represented; maybe not Orion or Mazdamundi, especially given their firm isolationist policies, but if Naestra and Arahan were in the game at the time, its pretty likely that they would have been sent by Ariel. Who could speak for the Lizardmen other than Mazdamundi, though? As a second generation Slaan, doesn't he outrank essentially everything else in the Lizardmen hierarchy except for like, Kroak, and that's only by reverence and not outright leadership?

Moving Gelt to Cathay as an expedition would actually be amazing, wished they did that.

In true colonial fashion, the empire is everywhere but the empire itself. I'd at least appreciate a sneaky +10 or +15 to relations if you play as the Golden Order and ever meet the northern provinces, given his buffs to alchemists.

Warhammer fantasy does have a lot of potential for a good median in so far as a show is concerned or a movie. But frankly given the age of hit or miss media adaptations I’d rather just leave it where it is. Who knows maybe Henry cavils 40k show will turn our great.

In this day and age it cannot be done right. They prove this again and again. Give it another 15-20 years and things will hopefully change.

Tbh the lizardmen is the most broken faction in the lore no cap. Mazdamundi freakin rearranged the tectonic plates just to block a dark elf assault while Lord Kroak can un-unalive himself for fun and that guy is walking nuke as well and I havent mentioned Kroq-Gar and Nakai who can solo an entire Chaos army. They should be more than enough in stopping kugath's army hell (no pun intended) they can stop Endtimes by themselves thats why GW decided to blow the moon just to make the endtimes more of a threat (which ended in failure lmaoo)

@@tonitapola7811 Nah, I have not seen it happen in the beta version of Immortal Empires that has been before this new patch. Ordertide is just what we call all the factions for order when they ally in the game. Sound way better than the Council Of Light(which is what an alliance of Dwarves, Elves and humans was called in the lore once, back when Franz had barely sat on the throne for a year). This is way after that from the looks of it, since Cathay and Kislev was not part of the Council Of Light
