Not counting RoR's, this DLC has the same amount of units as the Tomb Kings DLC (it's actually more if you count RoR's). And adjusting for inflation, it costs the same too. And given how the Tomb Kings DLC is universally regarded as a good value DLC it'll take an absolute hate mongering troll to argue that CA are being greedy here.

@@SleepyFenI would bet my favourite axe that they realised SoC cost them a loooooot of community goodwill, and another release like it would really screw them over. But with the newly added content to SoC, the new pricing structure and a lot more content from the get go this time CA seems determined to do better. I’m definitely (somewhat cautiously) optimistic about the game’s future right now.

Dwarfs are absolutely my favorite race in the game, but I won't lie - I've had a little bit of gun envy ever since the release of the Chorfs. Good to see the thunderbarge added to even the field a bit more :D

Given the lore I have seen about Thunder Barges, Dwarfs need to get more inebriated than normal to serve on one.

They are the airships 'marine' complement, getting ready to descend into the battle below in order to fulfill their slayer oaths.

If only the community at large wanted naval battles, CA originally considered adding naval battles but decided against it due to its poor reception in games like Empire and Napoleon. I always loved the naval battles, sure they could be a little janky, but they were really fun and I never understood the negative community response to it.

With a tw:wh game it’s one of those things that sounds cool as an idea but it’s execution it’s most likely going to be very poor.

both of which have been modded in for literal years now...I suppose it makes sense but i'm still a bit miffed that now i'll have to pay to use units thats i've already kinda been using for some time. i'll be especially pissed if there are no heavy global adjustments and additions to empire/dwarf campaign mechanics.

The Goblin Hewer? Yeah, it's made specifically because most Slayers aren't allowed to use guns, so Malakai made a machine that shoots axes instead.

What’s even better is the fact it’s crewed by slayers and when it’s out of ammo or engages in combat it’s just a normal squad of slayers

There were too little of them left. If you read the gotrek and felix books(and others too i would imagine) you would see gotrek say that not many of them were left

becasue most of time they are on Attacked side(almost every battle in endtime...they were sieged by green skin ,skaven and chaos)...and by being sieged in their under ground city...deploy thunderbarge is almost imposible ....also....Ratlng gun and warp lightning cannon probably eat thunder barge for breakfast

@manuelsoto94 Malakai Makaisson is one of Gotrek and Felix's diehard companions. Gotrek, Felix, Snorri Nosebiter, Malakai, Ulrika, and Max Schreiber. Gotrek and Felix's nemesis is Grey Seer Thanquol and his bodyguard rat ogre bone ripper. Thanquol is literally the maine character in any of the OldHammer skaven lore and has yet to make an appearance. If we got Malakai, we are just that much closer to getting the whole crew. Thanquol included ❤️

@@convertedironOf which Elspeth Von Draken is from Nuln, with her killing Tamurkhan there when he raided the Empire, and Gotrek and Felix have a link to with Thanquol prior their too with the Skavenslayer book. All signs point to the rat himbo

Sadly I think Alan Bligh's passing was the fundamental stopping point. Lead Writer and Designer at Forge World, Architect of the Horus Heresy miniature line; Tamurkhan and Monstrus Arcanum were his pet projects and without him pushing them how could anything else come close?

Thanquol is trying really hard not to squirt the musk of fear right now. He always has the most genius plans! But they are ruined by the sheer incompetence of his underlings (inferior skaven) as well as that vile dwarf Gotrek Gurnisson, and his loathsome henchman Felix Jaeger. Why must the gods taunt him so? Why must everyone work to undermine the great grey seer Thabquol? ITS NOT FAIR.

There is material for a lot more DLC and I really hope they will continue. I want Thanquol!

Its a shame these trailer musics are not in the game at any point. Not during battles, sieges, on campaign map or quest battles even. Most of them are absolutely superb and beats the ambiance of the not better than 'fine' soundtrack by far.

Your line 1 fits the sounds, but I'm not sure about the start of line 2, end of line 3, and line 4. Here's some other words that could possibly fit the sound: Line 1 could contain Azgal meaning a treasure hoard, or Azul meaning metal or a sturdy thing (like a dwarf). Line 2 sounds like it was Wut for wood, but that's weird. It could also contain 'ut' at the start for we/us. Line 2 also could contain Khazakrendum meaning The End TImes, or some mishmash of Kazad meaning fortress + 'a' meaning within + Dum meaning doom = Kazad-a-dum = Our fortress is already doomed inside. And honestly lines 3 and 4 sound so similar to 1 and 2, they're probably slightly different but any number of words can fit. So you could have a combination like: Strol azul ut Kazad-a-dum ----- March steadily Our fortress is already doomed

Biggest problem is that Khazalid is a bitch to work with anyway. No translation can be completely direct. For me, I'm hearing breaks between the words which is how I hear what I do. My main thought behind it is that the song is about Malakai/The Spirit. Which is why the second line is important. I don't know, I very very clearly hear "Grom A Lhune" though the first word could also be Khaz in line 2. Both fit in important context: Dwarfs are very weary of the sky, especially at night and the Thunderbarge itself itself is the Spirit of Grugngi, Malakai's creation. Which could also make sense for Khaz being the first word. There's also the very important detail that Khaz specifically means 'home' So it fits Malakai's defiance of tradition in that way too. Their 'home', the Spirit defies the sky the fear. Gave it a few more listens and I really really can't shake Grom A Lhune, I'm actively trying to not hear it. So the first line, as Strol Azul could literally mean "Our marching home" or similar. This is haaaaaaaardddd

He isn't a leader of anyone he's explicitly a killer. He even had a special rule forbidding him from being the general of an army at any size.
