I loved the 80's. I got my first car in the early 80's and my friend and I loved cruisen around town on Friday and Saturday night. I had somewhat big hair, but not bad. Mine was all feathered and of course I wore blue eye shadow (which I still like even though I don't wear eye shadow much anymore). Ahhhh, the good ole days. Thanks for the memories with this video...
I miss the 80’s! I used to do my sister’s hair in a high side ponytail. 😂 Just FYI, I asked my husband how old he thought you were, and he said, “Mid 20’s.” ☺️
My little girl is 10 years old and spirit week is next week. I wanted a hairdo for her that kept the hair out of her face didn't require a lot of time and thanks to you I'm able to take her already curly hair and do it up on the side.I just wanted to shout out and let you know that u helped me out a lot .no bs just show and tell instructions .keep making videos and have a great day
Holy shit! I was JUST about to say “top that” when you started! No friggin joke! What the what?!?! Haha! 1) I love your makeup. Did you film this look? It’s SO fun! 2) This look is AWESOME! 3) Do you remember those high ponytail pyramid shaped cone thingies? That sat on your head and you pulled hair through just like what you did with the scrunchie? I wanted one as a kid... along with the hair to pull through one. 4) Your music is hot.
Our minds are molten together in another dimension somewhere!! 1) No, I didn't film it, because I didn't have a plan before it all came together and I didn't want to waste my battery. Plus, when I don't have a plan, I don't talk in my video. 2) Thank you - smooches! 3) YESSSS, I wanted a red one for this video! It's super funny you mentioned that, but then again, our brains are connected, so..... 4) I know! Thanks for sharing it with me!!! You're a great friend!
Uhapi Beauty TOTALLY hear you on the makeup/no talkie thing. I don’t want to suggest more work for you but it’s a beautiful look - hell at least tell me what you used next time we talk! LOL
Been looking through Pinky Paradise and want to give them a try, but can't decide what to choose achieve a natural dark brown on a light colored iris. I have a feeling its going to look weird since most of the color is printed away from the pupil area. What would you pick?
I find that the URIS polaris collection from what I've tried is very natural. They have one that is brown and show a picture with it over light blue eyes. To me, it looks more hazel than anything. The others I've seen make the eye appear more "cosplay" and less naturally brown. The Gemini Night Brown may be another option, but the picture looks weird! I've tried the Gemini series before and they're comfortable. URIS is my favorite though.
while your make up colors are ok, the technique is all wrong. you used modern techniques. we never used more than 3 colors on our eyes (because that is how most drug store pallets came). eyeliner in the waterline. (i often wore electric blue eye shadow, liner and mascara). and teens would not have had access to faux lashes. we did good to get our hands on fake nails. the blush should be bright pink and pretty much streaked across the cheek. other than that and powder, no other face products - bronzer, high light, contour etc. we just didn't have those as teens. your hair should have bangs that are sprayed with aqua net or aussie hairspray to make them stand several inches high before falling over to one side, with the hair over the ears also plastered high, over the ears. edit: your "crap ton of hairspray" didn't even come close. but i know you were just demonstrating. i bet there were some girls who went thru a can of aqua net a week. i didn't follow that particular trend, thankfully. also, we didn't fill in our eye brows. we plucked. not quite as bad as the 90s, but we definitely kept them thinner than what is current. and we didn't draw them on or shape them with anything other than tweezers. (therefore, filling my brows in is something i have had to learn in the past few years as mine have started to disappear. )
You're right! I was born in 1980 and can vividly remember the trends. I realized when doing my makeup that is wasn't authentic to the times. The hairstyle is exactly what I wanted it to be and IS authentic to the styles we wore back then. Thanks for commenting!
