STFU with this dumb played out comment. I remember my grandpa ripping my mom's music saying their to much guitar and drums and how in his days it was just lyrics. So you not new thinking the new music sucks dude, guess what people said the same thing about this music and I know it's true cuz I heard it as a kid. Stop putting kids down for their music. Be better then those before your time
Voice modulators or vocoders have been used in music since the 70s. Many artists have used them in studios to have a robotic voice or to just smooth out their vocals.
Thanks Jayy for your reaction!! I would say most people lean towards your interpretation of the song, but also can be interpreted as losing a love one. You're becoming a Toto fan this is so awesome! much love
Goosebumps are caused by real music touching your soul on a cellular level. This is why my generation were peace loving people. Michael McDonald singing back up was amazing in this too. God, I miss my MTV videos
I just love Toto, they are an awesome group my brother got me hooked on so many groups growing up. We were so blessed with so many amazing groups during our teens. Now that he is gone all I can do is play the songs from groups we grew with. I just like to see the younger generation is enjoying them as much as we did. God bless you Jayy.
Bomb indeed. I grew up absolutely obsessed with the song "Pamela". We didn't have MTV in my neighborhood. I could only hope to catch it on radio from time to time. But I couldn't believe it when it showed up in an episode of my favourite show, Probe.
I LOVED Pamela. His voice when he sung the name and the melody of the chorus was addictive. Every once in a while I’ll get that chorus in my head and hum it for days.
@@CarlosRodriguez-jz3eu Joseph Williams sang the lead vocals to Pamela. Did you know Joseph's father, the composer John Williams, did the music to Steve Spielberg's movies? Jaws, Raiders of the Last Ark, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, etc.
Jayy, please review more Toto songs. They're so diverse in their musicianship and it changes from classic rock, to soulful music, to jazz, very contemporary. Please listen to their Fahrenheit and Tambu CDs. When you do, please do some reviews. You will live it baby girl and these were bangers that got limited air play. There's this one cut on Fahrenheit called Don't leave me now that was pure jazz with I believe Miles Davis on the trumpet. Truly underarated! It sounds like that it could have been on a soundtrack. View the video called Till the end; it has Paula Abdul in her young choreography days shaking a leg in this video. Luv ya.
And you're just at the tip of the Toto iceberg and it's a big iceberg. My favorite band for the last 42 years... Thanks for reacting to their awesome songs!
*Jay* I`m Surprised You did not recognize the Fomer lead singer of The Doobie Brothers,McDonald,In the vid in BOTH Vocals AND on Vid...It was after They Began the 2nd batch of lyrics..He was standing with two others,on the screen! Huh! I love the SONG!
Jayy try some Depeche Mode they were just inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame so we're Nine Inch Nails, The Doobie Brothers, and I think the Eagles.
As soon as my ❤️ stops breaking....I'll be over him. Like I tell my kids. You need no one in your life. Except for love. Everything else you can do all on your own. 🤭
Please listen to "I Will Remember." There are covers of this from other countries. THAT's how good it is!!!! I can't find anyone out there that has done a reaction to this!!
@@thelyricologist9568 Yeah, actually it does. "Forever is true" doesn't even make sense. If you're going to call yourself "The Lyricologist" you might want to make sure you actually have the correct lyrics.... just sayin'.
Ok it’s like this, when a guy find a girl he truly loves and things don’t work out, she has taken a part of him. So she is the one girl that he will have a hard time forgetting. His heart is broken and it will take a long time to forget her and maybe he never will.
There was nothing in the song indicating who F'd up. It doesn't sound as if HE did anything foolish. If I had to guess, I think it was mutual. And she's probably suffering as well. The mutual break-up is the most painful because there's no one to blame, It's nobody's fault. When both people realize that it's just not meant to be. No mad, just sad.
