This is the 1st of two videos on the Toto C5 Washlet / Bidet. This one covers unboxing and installation and the second video covers usage, testing, and thoughts. It can be found here: • Toto Washlet Bidet Mod...
My dude, I can't thank you enough for this fantastic video and the real talk. I'm looking to buy a C5 and couldn't get a definitive answer on what was included in the box.
I bought the C5, but it's too big for my standard toilet. What toilet do you have? I'm trying to figure out what toilet would fit snuck with the C5? Appreciate your help.
No, I haven't run into that -- but the 2 installs I've done were both on Totos of different vintages. How about sticking a hose washer or something similar on the bolt to give you some even-ing and a cushion to tighten into?
Hey Ward, my Toto toilet didn't have any of the black rubber receptacles, so I put these in. I came up through the bottom of the holes and I'm not sure if I did it right, because now the screws are pulling the black receptacles up. The flanges are coming away from the top of the porcelain. Is that what's supposed to happen?
No, sorry. The black receiver expands in the hole when the screw goes in. Maybe turn whatever receptacle you got upside down and put the flanges on the underside, so the screw is driving whatever mechanism is in there in the expected direction? Just guessing...
Just take note if the Toto mounting rubber screw receptacles are too big for your toilet's holes; insert them from the BOTTOM. Just installed a C5 and the holes on an American Standard Cadet elongated toilet were too small, so I did the reversal; tightened them up and all is good. I I also have a Coway non remote, bidet seat and while different, I think the Toto is a better seat. The Coway has more pressure and the hot water lasts longer, but the C5 is quite satisfactory. Additionally, Toto uses a non standard thread on their water inlet hose (and plastic tee), so if you want to use a filter, you will need their adapter (about $20). I was able to use my existing metal tee, by using their adapter.
My pleasure. There is a SPECIAL hard reset procedure that is not mentioned in the manual, if you have a problem that a normal reset will not fix. You will have to call Toto tech support for the procedure.@@WardCo
