- lowering springs
- Installed smooth undertray (whole underside)
- flat hubcaps
- grill block
- tire front air defletors
- Rear muffler removed
- Tire pressures to sidewall max which is 3,8 bar at the moment
- my own ecu remap program

I think what really helped with the fuel consumption is the small wheel size "R16" is like (Golf,Passat) size that's the thing that helped the most in my opinion.

Car has also aerodynamic mods so it's not just the tune. But still it's best out there consumption wise.

Does not help that much in the city as car still weigths 2300+kg. 2,4 liters at 100km/h was record so far for this car.

Depends on your country, in Finland yes. In German would have tough times as no "tuv" certificate on self made parts.

ORRR you just drive a smaller more reasonable car, do those modifications and even use less fuel

Yes they save fuel. This sure aint my only car. There are audi A2, A4, A8 for different needs. This Touareg is for towing and if there is need for lot of luggage for trips.
