An accurate unbiased high-level list would look like this: S: Dancers, Shou A: Sakuya B: Youmu, Seija, Clownpiece C: Rin, Reisen, Mayumi D: Sanae, Futo This is assuming lunatic difficulty with the game's strongest shottype (no bugged dmg shottypes) and without the use of bombs or gamespecific mechanics that make the game easier like releases, trances, hypers and so on, and lastly, after having properly learned the approach to all of the boss' patterns knowing how they are played since there are also a lot of "puzzly" patterns in some of these fights, meaning they are 'hard to learn easy to master' in that you spend most of your time only finding out what you are even supposed to do in the first place. Clownpiece and Rin are a good example for what I just described. They have multiple patterns that are ultra hard when you see them for the first time ever, but eventually turn into not just easy but entirely free to a point where you can not die to them anymore. It's basically the opposite of straight forward dodging of a random dense mess of bullets like Sakuya has with most of her patterns. Sakuya is easily the least consistent fight across all of them and perfecting her on maxrank lunatic always involves at least a little bit of luck. With bad enough rng your skill does not matter anymore on this boss, you WILL get hit at some point then. And no, this is not the case with the other bosses if you are just good enough. Still haven't played Th18 yet, so no Megumu.
@@abarette_ Well for Reisen you'd have to declare beforehand, whether Last Spell capturing is included in the comparison as it makes a large difference in this case. Her Last Spell is harder than any attack anyone in the C and D tier category possess therefore easily justifying her placement there. But if you were thinking with Last Spells excluded then I am not gonna disagree.

My List would be (considering Normal Difficulty): S: Orin, Clownpiece, Shou A: Seija, Reisen B: Sakuya, Youmu, Mayumi, Megumu C: Sanae, Dancers D: Futo Reasons: Futo is just an absolute Joke of a Stage 5 Boss on Normal Sanae don't has so much small RNG bullets like other Bosses from MoF The Dancers are more Show than real Danger if you know how to move through their Nons and if you know which Spells are easier to dodge Sakuya gives me only sometime trouble with the green Knives and some Nons Youmu has so awful Spells but for me really easy Nons Mayumi would be higher if the beasts wouldn't exist which destroy her Megumus 1. and Final Spell are a bit annoying Seija gives me also trouble with this stupid arrows and I have a personally hate on the Final Spell because the flipping can destory your concentration Reisen is only so high because shes really fine until you make one mistake and then it ends in chaos Orin: stupid Zombie Fairies und Fire Wheel... Clownpiece: "Flash and Stripe" I think I have nothing to add to this. Shou: only S Tier because of this unfair cross Laser Spell
To me, I'd say: S: Orin, Clownpiece A: Dancers, Megumu, Shou B+: Seija B: Sanae, Sakuya, Youmu C: Reisen (I haven't play TouHou 13 and 17 yet.) Orin I struggle a lot because of how the rest of the game itself is hard, as well as the Fairies that follow me and shit Clownpiece... Well. It's Clownpiece. There's literally only one spell that is doable, to me lol Dancers could be ranked S if I didn't had like 6 lives when fighting them. The game just gives me a shitton of lives, lmao Megumu - one of my favourite tbh. The laser spell I find so fucking enjoyable really - the blue nonspell gives me PTSD tho Shou: dat lasers eh. I think it's A, just because I'm doing pretty well with curvy lasers (tbh I did 14.3 before so...) Seija: DDC in itself is really nervewracking, but here flipping my screen + shit going on behind my back? Not easy, but doable with practice. Might as well be a A tier, actually. Sanae: not really a problem. Some of the spell seems kinda random tho Sakuya: Really short battle, but I happen to struggle with those nonspells where there are shit from everywhere kek Youmu: Prismriver Sisters are just harder, lol. But sometimes she fucks me up, so yeah Reisen: She's a joke. She just is.

I like the backward dodging of Seija boss fight (her midboss one is too hard for me) Also, i hadn't bad memories against orin or clownpiece (not enough to hate them) The dancers are the worst. They have the weird stars that are basically impossible to dodge. It's only in two spellcards but it's already too much
If by any chance you would get 690 likes, could you do a touhou sorter stream? I know, that it takes ages to answer all the questions and it burns you out pretty quickly, but those are so god damn interesting.
its mostly just one spell and for a normal 1cc run, you can just bomb that spell. most of the time the timestop works to your benefit to predict the movement of the knives and bullets and as long as you practice, it's doable.
