Let me make it worse: according to the author notes, the doujin was originally going to have roaches shoved up Sumireko's ass due to it being the winner of a poll (the alternate picks were the ZUN music SSC members hosting a Sumireko funeral and Sumireko livestreaming her seppuku), but she changed the story based on something that happened to her.

But… I like Joon! I just like her design and for some reason, she looks like the most Un-Touhou character to me. Also, she reminds me of Princess from the PPGs for some reason. Also, she has an adorably huge smile in many sets of her. Also, unlike Shion (kinda), Joon is actually playable.

@@lemonapric yeah. I tend to pick favorite characters based on other favorite characters and similarities in other characters. For example, my favorite new unit on Fire Emblem Engage is Etie because she really reminds me of Eunie from Xenoblade 3. And my favorite Danganronpa girl is Aoi cuz she looks like a more human version of Sena also from XBC3. And while he doesn’t look exactly like him, I see Dan from Bakugan in Makoto also from Danganronpa because his voice sounds similar. Just as a few examples.

i think people like kagerou( including me) is because she looks 'conventionally attractive' with the the long hair and normal hair color. Unlike the other touhou girls, which have some interesting hair colors and clothing, but kagerou just looks normal except for the fur and wolf ears

Interestingly I did a poll in a touhou group who is better shion or joon and it was pretty close shion nudged joon out in the end by about 20% more if I recall but I like them both in the end shion is wholesome and joon is definitely treating shion better and grown as a better person.

I am a girl and my fav character is Tewi (i mispronounce her name incorrectly because it sounds cuter that way) just because of how cute and chaotic she is, and yes, i like hello kitty too and plan on collecting some merchandise in the future, i also like junko because angry mama is cool and her stage theme is among my favourite OST (not boss theme its ok) not because of.. jokes.. ew.. Third fav is reisen because bunny is cute and has long pretty hair I like hata because pink hair kuudere vibes.
