This video shows hundreds of cool boats in a huge marina within Burnham Harbor in Chicago, Illinois.
Burnham Harbor is located within walking distance of the Chicago downtown and is situated on the Museum Campus. It is the largest harbor in the Chicago Harbors system. Surrounded by a stunning skyline view, the Adler Planetarium, Shedd Aquarium, Field Museum, Soldier Field, and McCormick Place the harbor is a focal point of the City of Chicago. Burnham Harbor is also home to the Burnham Park Yacht Club. The harbor has 1126 slips, mooring cans, and star docks and can accommodate boats from 28’-100’+ in length.
Transient docking is available; you can submit reservation requests through the Dockwa app or website beginning May 1st. Burnham Harbor has a fuel dock facility with gas and diesel fuels. There is a laundry facility in the Ship’s Store. Waste pump-out equipment is available on a no-charge basis. There is a 3-lane launch ramp at the harbor with parking for approximately 43 vehicles with trailers. There is a mast stepping/unstopping capability at the Burnham Park Yacht Club, located on the east side of Burnham Harbor. The harbor monitors channels 9 and 16 and the switch to/working channel is 71.

Mike, this video brought back fond memories for me. Back in mid 1970's I flew on my Dad's company jet to Meigs Field which was just off in the immediate distance in your video. You can see one of the control towers. Meigs Airport ceased operation in 2003. It was built on an island. At one time it was the busiest single runway airport in the country. My Dad took me (in HS at the time) to a Chicago Blackhawks hockey playoff game. Afer the game, we quickly returned to Columbus, Ohio. I was back in school the next morning!

I was a big Minnesota North Stars fan when I was growing up but then they moved. I was also a big Chicago Blackhawks fan too. My favorite goalie is Ed Belfour. That had to be so awesome flying in on a private jet! 🛩

@@vibewithmike We have the mostly out of the playoffs Columbus Blue Jackets here in Columbus Mike. Nationwide Arena is directly next to the company I worked my entire career. It's named for the company. I used to attend a ton of games. I had a company indoor parking spot right next to the arena. What's funny is when I started my insurance career I parked in a dirt lot. Today it is an NHL hockey rink.

Daniel Burnham was a Chicago based architect who designed the 1893 World's Fair in Chicago's Jackson Park. He also designed the Flatiron Building in New York and Washington DC's Union Station, a massive train station near the US Capitol. In 1909 he authored "The Plan of Chicago" and passed away in 1912. Off of Burnham Park there is a piece of Land called the Queen's Landing. It's where Queen Elizabeth landed in 1959 as she was visited Chicago on her yacht. In the summer when I lived near Chicago I would often walk along Burnham Harbor.

Yo Mike! I hope your Saturday is going great man. A lot of the tourist will start coming to Duluth starting next weekend because they’re talking about 60° temps. Trust me, I’ve been waiting for those temps for a while. Take care brother.
