You can buy a room in a similar size for about 400 to 500 dollars a month if you are just 40 minutes away from Seoul Maybe it's because it's Seoul, but the price is too expensive $1000 seems reasonable
I think the best part was the plants 🪴 outside. I hope you took good care of them. That mosquito 🦟 repellent typa thing we have it here in Lebanon, brand name VAP. You must have seen it. There’s also the spiral 🌀 type that burns all night & releases a mosquito repellent fume. But in rainy days you actually don’t have to worry about mosquitoes. They simply don’t come out. Loved the video so much 😊
Note* This is an Airbnb, which is always more expensive than renting from a local leasing company. With Airbnbs, you pay not only for the apartment, but also Airbnb protections, the ability to rent for short periods of time, and the ability to cancel/adjust your stay at any time.
It is not too bad price for Airbnb and the location is great. You are in central city which is walking distance to most places or at least to a subway station which will get you to most part of Seoul. Love your videos. Looking forward to your next video.
@@alexlee7877 I agree. Not a bad price at all, all things considered. Still expensive objectively 🙈 but it is so fun living there right in the center of things. Im so happy to hear you’re enjoying my videos ☺️ thank you
Jongno-gu is located in the center of Seoul, so it is expensive, but there are many convenience facilities such as restaurants and subway stations nearby, so even (2.6k won) seems reasonable.
In the evening, go to the street for fried chicken and beer. For beer, I recommend fresh beer over 500cc sold in pubs, not branded beer. The location will tell you if you ask people, and it is within walking distance. Enjoy it!
In Korea, houses like that are not called apartments. One-room...a house where young people live alone The apartment where the family lives is much larger.
The fact that you don't speak Korean sadly means that you're going to likely pay DOUBLE. You can get officetels with similar space for about half of what you pay - also in the same location. My uncle was actually the mayor of Jong-no district in the early 2000s.
That is way too expensive for that studio apartment in Seoul. You can find a much larger and better space at local realtor, but considering the language barrier and the large amount of "deposit", Airbnb might be more convenient. But still too expensive!
Price seems reasonable. Good choice :D The biscuit type mosqitto repellant thing is so good. I can't see it in any othet country, yet. i only find liquid type but which isn't so good as that bisquit type :)
Thank you! ☺️☺️ Yeah, I agree, nothing works as well as the biscuit type mosquito repellant at getting rid of them 🦟 I’m going to have to buy one before I leave Korea and travel with it 😆
I'm surprised you didn't see the mosquito device when you were in Lebanon. I remember my grandparents always used them. Man the nostalgia just from that quirky little thing and the tablet's smell 😂
you’re not the first person to say that! I guess I’m surprised I didn’t see any in lebanon now, too! But yeah totally those little tablets have quite the distinctive smell
That kettle (water boiler) on top of a microwave/oven/fridge...seriously...so if the kettle leaks, it takes out the rest. Water + electricity = a bad Airbnb experience....oh that bathroom too...all i noticed was the power outlet next to the toilet. If your shower gets steamy, that water vapor, with that outlet, or your wet hands as you reach for the shampoo...
this is korean one room, student or young 20's first living place. especially for one person. I was livin' in like there when i was young, now i'm 30's and living 3room apartment . normal koreans where to live ? that is ...3 types of korean apartment . 1. 빌라 5th floor under small apartment 2.오피스텔 officetel apartment- very huse building 1-5th floor is usually facilities 3. 아파트 - apartment complex this is most normal korean live in like home . how small to large is 59㎡ ~150㎡ usually normal people living 59㎡ or 86㎡ 2room 1 living and kitchen and 3room living and kitchen. and i feel uncomfortable past years korean building like this have a toilet. that is not a bathroom because this ancient century , korean have public bath (spa) in neighborhood . but now we don't have public bath , that is almost disappear , now a days normal apartment has shower booth.
Usually, when renting a room, you have to pay a deposit. Then the monthly rent is cheaper, and parents usually support the monthly rent or pay it by working themselves. Usually, students live in a smaller house than the house in the video and the rent is a little cheaper. You can stay
@macaulee5047 Work pay in South Korea must be much higher for students with no degree than in the US. There is no way a student in the US would be able to afford pretty much anything over $1000 per month without working 40 hours per week plus going to school full time.
Currently, the minimum wage in Korea is about $8. If you work 45 hours a week and work full time during the week, you can receive one day of pay on the weekend as a bonus.
Like I said in my previous comment, it would probably be cheaper if it wasn’t on Airbnb, but still it likely wouldn’t be under 1K. If it was under 1K, it probably wouldn’t come furnished, and wouldn’t be on the top floor
Wow .. monthly rent is so expensive. You can find better house when you guys wanna live outside of seoul. Like gyunggido and Cheonan. So. Umm. You are very cute couple. :)
Having no air conditioner?,, That's NO, NO in Korea. Like, heat and moisture at the same time, summer in S.Korea is horrible. Better move to another place if possible. I really don't understand why there is none especially in Seoul. Even the public toilet has. I like the space though.
By the Your so much gorgeous ,sexy and confident look you have to try fashion modeling or Fittness modeling industry I m also same field professional fittness trainer and per time model I m trying south korea modeling but language issue now I m learning Korean language for kdrama south korea kdrama k-pop technology industry so much growth in GDP
I know it's the center of Seoul, and the land price is ridiculously high, but if you don't have an air conditioner on correctly, you should check the mental state of the landlord.
