I hate it. They had a chance to put in a Pixar Themed Restaurant and they gave us this. $28 for a burger? I'd rather go across to the Grand Californian. What a shame.
"Great Maple" sounds like a great name and gets your imagination thinking about what it could be. Then you go inside and it's a trap, you're really in an Ikea or a Home Goods store. I'm assuming that great ideas were pitched by the creatives but the decision makers killed it by turning it into something that resembled their own limited imaginations.
The dramatic photos of Pixar characters in a setting that looks like a restaurant at an airport's newest wing...insane what this company gets away with now as a farce for themed entertainment.
It's strange that they opted for a chain restaurant in what is supposed to be an official Disney hotel. The company must be in real dire straits if they can't even afford to create their own restaurants anymore.
I hope the food at this Great Maple is better than the one in California. The food is not great there at all and they use premade ingredients, not preparing food from scratch.
LOVE the theming! Reminiscent of a log cabin diner that would fit in the mountain community of Lake Arrowhead. A perfect spot for cozy pancakes and hot cocoa. Oh wait….
The business cards are a nice touch in a world of qr-codes. Understanding it's NOT supposed to be a 'Pixar' restaurant...it's still a bit bland > there should be a lot maple-wood sculptures placed throughout the seating from Canadian artists.
