I never thought about it until someone pointed it out to me, but Albuquerque is the only place you'll see million dollar homes a block away from government assisted housing. The neighborhoods are so mixed it is unusual.

Awesome. I grew up NE of Tramway and Central…. Skyline and Oakwood right at the foothills. We had the best views of sunsets and four hills. As for wild life in the 80’s, horn toads, roadrunners, and some crazy weird bugs. We had a lot of blue tail lizards too. Grad from Manzano HS. Live in Colorado now.

You started one street too far up. Candelaria representing. Love my townhome in Executive Ridge. It did take about $70k in tlc but it dressed up real nice. No more 80’s cheese interior.
@@AllAboutABQ New Jersey…not quite. Been forever since I left. Bought my place in 2016 as a rental and made the move into it last year. Life journey as follows nj-fl-tx-nm. Been in love with NM since my first visit in 2011.
@@AllAboutABQ so many people never leave to explore. Everyone should move somewhere different at least once. Can’t speak for California but Texas is flat and its property taxes are crazy. Florida was a good deal in the 1990’s as a young 20 something at the time but it is too crazy now. Check out yt channel Michael Bordenero. He is a Miami realtor that walks and talks about the economy and throws in some Miami real estate.

Lived in Abq all my life and growing up i always thought the NE heights was were the rich people lived. Its true even now. I think the NE heights is the heart of Abq. My dad did some tile work for a doctor from Chicago that moved near the Taonan area. I saw houses that blew my mind. I was like damn people live like this up here? Then i had to go back to my poor neighborhood. 😂😂 i tell my friend who lives near Wyoming and Academy. You are one rich lady. She says no im not! Theres crime there too! 😂 but yes the NE heights is where its at. Rio Rancho is Just to far out and no charm really.
Please look into police reports for any area in Albuquerque that you plan to live in. They’re finally getting the professional homeless out, so something’s afoot.
