How is it that a man of wisdom was never elected to run the country. He would have made our country an Asian tiger. Only the corrupt can and will rule.

I share your concerns for the country . Today, as in the reality talent shows, it is not necessarily the best singer but the most popular singer that wins. It is not the best author, but the best selling authors whose books show up on the best selling section of the book store . Politicians aim to be the most popular because it is winning the seats that counts. That’s sad, because we the people allowed that .

Most people today look at wealth, monies and maybe title ruther than ethic ,good manner and etc. When combine inteclual that had strong iman and wealth and intelactual on right thought , InshaAllah we will have a nice view of Malaysia. These leaders should have wealth in order to help them before leading the helm

Thank you for sharing your thought which is so lacking in today’s Malaysia atmosphere. To me, democracy is only an illusion that the ordinary people believe that we have the powder to change. Due to the electoral system, politicians are concern on popularity gearing towards being flavoured by party leadership, political appointment and re-elected to position, instead of doing the right things for the advancement of the country and the people. The ordinary citizen are merely pawns in the democratic system.

Long have I noticed this, I used to be labelled as problematic students as I questions a lot, I've been made to understand that school@teacher is where we ask and learned.. But later I understand one thing... Don't ask just follow, keep good relationships with everyone and u'll be alright... Somehow questioning something in the hope of getting further understanding is wrong... Hence for me listening to scholars like u ur self n those in harvard ect, who r knowledgeable...

The problem is are we to believe that the current leadership will educate or just propagate their values and morality to the next generation that will further put the future into dire straits! Good help us if we need to rise to the occasion , start by being honest 🤔

One of the challenges I thought is the two seemingly different value systems that caused the Rakyat to live in a parallel universe and split politically. I hope you can share your view if secularism and the practise of Islam can live side by side in running the country, i mean specifically, to rule a nation?

O you who believe! Be upright for Allah, bearers of witness with justice, and let not hatred of a people incite you not to act equitably; act equitably, that is nearer to piety, and he careful of (your duty to) Allah; surely Allah is Aware of what you do. Dear Prof, the government has invested billions of ringgit into implementing Islamic values into Malaysians and Malaysian institutions. Why have not seen better governance outcomes, considering the investment into Islamic values in Malaysia? I would appreciate your views on this, Prof. Thank you.

When the majority if voters really believe that voting for a corrupt Muslim is better than voting for one of another religion, regardless of how trustworthy he is, then, I'm sorry to say, there's little chance of healing to take place.

One of the biggest problems we have is the rakyat's pre-occupation with titles. As long as one has a string, he's good. Oh yeah, not to mention their fascination for impressive speakers... who cares if he rambles on repeating the same points LOL. It's ironic that this speech is delivered in English... can the minority affect change? Preaching to the choir?

Ethics, Justice and Morality in our (broken) education system? Are you being serious? Are you aware of the debacle that ensued from trying to switch the meta-language for STEM studies? Do you expect that the responsible people in government to attempt to institute Ethics, Justice and Morality, arguably 3 of the most complicated subjects (even more than Physics IMHO), into the Malaysian education system? Whatever you are smoking, please send be a batch. JK I don't smoke.
