Brian you are going to love this when you get it up and flying. it is a super floaty bird but is nice and slippery so you can get some speed out of it, the only thing is due to its light weight and small control surfaces it sucks at aerobatics. wishing you many happy flights with this one.
Hey Brian... I saw this mod on RCGroups and tried it.. I replaced the elevator wire with .025 gauge wire.. makes the elevator very smooth and less load on the servo... Thought I'd share with your followers.. Thanks - Grant
This was the repair video... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3zLQY7SIvtc.html ...no flight video, and this particular video was cut short by a memory issue on my phone, which I was using to record, so might have missed some of the repairs at the end...
It broke IN FLIGHT, but I was able to fly it for a while, and diagnosed no rudder movement, then landed. Flying a glider without a rudder is not a great experience, but it's definitely better than flying without an elevator!!! Not sure how it broke, but I had bend an adjustment into the factory rod, and I have to imagine, it was weakened after bending it.
