Yuri would sometimes hint that her meeting with bam or her traveling with him was meant to be since before he came in the tower so I say it’s safe to assume he did spare them for a future purpose

"Someday, that god's power will enter this dead child's body and awaken him again." Does this line from season 2 episode 240 mean that, going off of the theory that Pentaminum is the outside god Arlene spoke about, Pentaminum willingly gave his power to Bam. This would also be supportive to the theory that Enryu was a messenger of Pentaminum to give the message that a hero will come and free the tower, and that he put the item 'Thorn' there so Bam could use parts of Pentaminum's powers that lay dormant within him. It would also explain why Bam found something different from himself inside of himself. But this could be completely wrong and I'm just making a dunce of myself

I feel like Jahad could possibly be referencing his encounter with Penatminum on ep. 307 of season 2 when he says he found out how to play around with fate ever since a certain day. Could be a stretch but I feel like it could correlate.

I think the people he killed in the Castle are most likely people that would hurt Baam in the future, and that there would be no way of him defeating, so Pentaminum kinda just said, "I got you fam." Its also possible that Racheal was created in order to get Baam into the tower which is why she found him in the cave outside the tower, but she was created to be weak so that she would not actually pose a threat to Baams story but with a personality that would push Baam to become stronger. Its also possible that at the top of the tower is Pentaminum and that he is this "star" that Racheal is trying to get back to. Also Racheal clearly acting under orders from someone during her time with Baam, if she was so eager to climb the tower then why not leave immediately. She was definitely given orders by someone to take care of Baam and teach him enough so that he could survive in the tower, then once she tought him enough, she ran to the tower to go be with her "star"

Plot twist: Pentaminum is the guy that looks like jahad, that has been setting things into play, and predicting the future. Quick Edit: I'm also referring to the guy that spoke with the heroes that were in the wall.

What if the "Fate" Jahad wants to control is similar to the "story" Phantaminum is writing and thats why he had to got into the tower to tell off jahad and set the "story" straight

Plot twist Phantaminum and Urek are the antagonist and protagonist of yet another story set in the same universe and Urek is hunting him and trying to kill him.

It would make more sense if Pentaminum entered the space of another Axis user. If Pentaminum has been in control of the tower since the beginning, He would have no reason to go on a killing spree.

so if pentaminum hits bam with his ability and intentionally doesn’t kill him would bam gain the ability and bam would become an axis

Ive always thought the entire story was Phant trying to groom Baam to become a new Axis and thats how the story will expand at the verrrry end

well SIU did say that even if the whole tower(every one in the tower) went against Phantaminum , Phantaminum would still win. and he is basically a god. He will probably not appear in the story but I am so excited to see him. same goes for ENRYU.

Jahad, who is becoming more and more powerful and able to predict/affect the future, must be doing something beyond what he is supposed to do inside the tower and could affect not just the tower but the outside as well. So that would probably be a good reason for panthaminum to barge in and give him a warning.

From what I gather from sources on axis users what they essentially are beings on an elevated plane of Reality and completely invincible to any being lower than them. However their authority is directly linked to the responsibilities they take, they can't just do whatever they want with their abilities they were given a purpose as seen with Pentaminum's role as an author. At least that's what I gather from information I've looked into so I think you're spot on with your theory that they chose to spare certain people due to them playing a role in his story. However I don't think he dictates anything he wants he has to work to create it, but he can't just do all the work in it the story is about Bam, he's just the one who set things up to weave the tale. At least that's what I interpret from it again this is all from small comments/notes SIU has made as I don't think he's ever really stopped to answer most of our questions on this character and almost nothing is said in the actual webtoon.

I freaking love the tower of god story and lore. It would be so cool if SIU, after finishing tog, did a jahad story from before he entered the tower to maybe partway thru his climb. And then maybe a story doing the same for urek. Would show so much interesting info about both outside the tower and inside between the two time eras

Pentaminum prolly told Jahad the destiny that awaits him ultimately. I would just find it ironic that the strongest person obsessed with destiny and foreseeing gets confronted by someone stronger and actually knows Jahad’s destiny. Also, hasn’t SIU said before that other characters would become protagonists later in the story? If so, Yuri would be my best bet for someone to be a protagonist. She seems way too unique even among the other princesses.

I wonder if the axes beings have anything to do with what Jahad was talking about when he said he learned to control fate itself. It's possible this just means he can disrupt peoples' foresight like Khel Hellam, but perhaps it means something more.

I feel it's a matter of perspective. Pentaminum is not the incarnation of SIU, but is still the ultimate deus ex machina, a big plot device. We read/saw ToG as a stand alone story, but the "real story" is more like Arabian Nights", or "Decameron". The "real story" is that someone is telling stories. Those people are the Axis, or Authors. As far as I understand, there are some Axis who build/narrate stories like every author does. The concept that SIU introduced is that authors can visit their own stories. In this "story-ception" there is this big universe of Authors (Axis) who have "stories", metaphorical worlds that are in fact real for the characters in them. We simply follow one of those stories. At the end of ToG we will maybe follow another story of another Author, some friend of Pentaminum's. So SIU real story is: there is a space with some people who can tell/build stories and be in them, Mary Poppins style. Every Axis is a deus ex machina for SIU, because they literally make up the story as intended by him. As the video said, Pentaminum just paved the way for ToG as we know it, positioning all the pawns in the right way. It is the very answer to the question: "why everything happens to the main character?"

Coincidentally I learned something about Phantaminum/Pentaminum earlier today. Also this may be a slight spoiler, i'm not really sure, it relates to the lack of information on him. Apparently Phantaminum/Pentaminum is an MC (I think) in one of SIU's previous manhwas (which he has since taken down to avoid spoiling stuff about him and i don't know what the source material is, maybe it explains why the wiki doesn't have a source) and he escaped into the tower for some reason.

Maybe Pentaminum is the Tower's essence incarnate, it heralded of what's to come and him being tainted referred to upcoming cleansing that Bam is to bring to the Tower i.e. to Pentaminum...

My theory is that Enryu is a manifestation of Pentaminum. Maybe he took another form to confuse Urek, if he is indeed another axis chasing after Pentaminum. Also, tower of God is urek's space and Pentaminum entered it to rewrite the story to his own liking. Thus killing a bunch of people to edit the story Urek is writing.

Hey Dr. Bonehead and anyone else reading these comments, Has there ever been a video discussing the murals in season 1 on TOG? According to a SIU blog post translated from Korean to English, all the panels in Season 1 reveal the story of TOG in its entirety. I have looked through these a couple of times and have 0 clue what I'm seeing. I think this would be something really interesting to look into because I haven't seen anything on it before.

From what I've read on pentaminum is that he was tricked into entering the Tower, presumably by Headon, and he's been looking for a way out of the tower this whole time, he spared Jahad when he realized that Jahad couldn't let him out. Urek followed pentaminum into the tower from the outside because he wanted to fight him for some reason, and also became trapped. I believe a read a blog post from siu a long time ago, that hinted at BAM himself being a new growing Axis. Which was the explanation, at the time anyway, as to why Rachel who is also an irregular wasn't "loved by the shinsiu" like Bam was. I also thought this was the reason the leaders of the ten great families needed to make contracts, despite being irregulars as well. Maybe it was retconed or I'm misremembering one of the early blog posts though, this was around the end of season 1 of the manwha. Personally I always thought that if the tower itself was an axis characters personal sphere of power they controlled, it would be Headons. The caretaker of the Tower, the one who brings change to the Tower, the one who you could say writes the destiny of the Tower. I would even go so far as to say the way out of the tower is on the first floor, where Bams mother escaped, and that that escape was facilitated by Headon . Think about this, what would have happened to Bam if he had declined to take the first test? Would he just chill on floor 1 until he took it? Or would Headon say show him the door that he just came in through? That leads be to believe Headon can let people in and out, which makes me think it's his sphere of influence.

I think the real concern is that we have to comprehend that someone is actually stronger then Pentaminum. Like how to conceive someone stronger then someone with inconceivable strength.

Some of the words used to describe Pentaminum and Enryu make it seem like Enryu might work for Pentaminum. An example of this relationship in our world would be Zeus and Hermes. Enryu has been described as the "messenger sent by god" (I believe that this came from Garam reading a note in Arlen's pocket), and Hermes is the literal messenger of the gods. IDK I'm just pointing out some parallels, but I feel like this might have some potential later in the story.

Probably a very far reach but stay with me for this: What if Pentaminum is attempting to create a new Axis member? With how powerful Axis members can be, I doubt it's completely out of the realm of speculation that they themselves can create another. Or maybe an Axis member can be born from the stories they influence. That would explain/ provide even more reasoning as to why Pentaminum is in the tower and working to tell Bam's story.

What if Pentaminum is disguised as Headon? I mean, maybe Pentaminum is "choosing" what Headon does too but this is just what I think. Wouldn't it make sense because he also didn't tell Jahad (because Yuri is still alive, I'm guessing he didn't tell) when she gave the black March to Baam in the white steel eel test. And I know Headon made the test for Baam not to go up the tower, but maybe it was a test to see if he was really the son of Arlene? How would he know as much as he does is he wasn't an axis. Dr.bonehead also said his weapon was like nothing ever seen, headon's "weapon" is like a pole with two shinsu balls at each end. I've never seen it anywhere else in the tower and we've never actually seen headon fight. He must be pretty powerful to be put as person to test the irregulars. He was the first person to meet Baam and he made the deal with Rachel to make his story happen and be told. Idk if I'm even making sense now lol.

Love the video but you got some info wrong. 1. Phantaminum isn't confirmed to be in the top 5 Axis' which are actually called the Axis Kings; though it is highly speculated that he is in one of the Axis King positions. 2. There is no evidence of either Phantaminum or Enryu having ever climbed the Tower, it is reported in Enryu's case that he just appeared on the 43rd floor. 3. Axis's ability to control an "aspect of reality" within their sphere of influence. Many link this "aspect of reality" to "fate/destiny" that Jahad often speaks about. Also, there are levels to Axis Users just like there are levels to Rankers; some Axis Users are so 'weak' that they are treated like normal people. IN TUS, Talse User (who is a character) has a best friend at the lowest rank of Axis; they both attend normal school together. Some lore info you may have missed: In TUS, 2 Axis Kings created 30 Bean Sprouts (Towers) most have failed, and only a few remain operating. People on the Outside tend to these large Towers with no doors or windows. The Towers' purpose is vague, but one Axis King named Oedipus, Axis King of Artificiality, wants to create an actual God in TUS. In ToG, Enryu called Jahad a "False King" leading many to believe that Axis Kings exist in ToG. It is also rumored in ToG that Enryu can create artificial life, hence another connection with Oedipus. Who is Oedipus? She is a girl who looks strikingly similar to Rachel; however, her personality greatly differs. Oedipus is seen as a just individual who killed her own father because he was committing atrocious acts. She strives to create a God to question it about something we don't know. We know that she tried to make one with her Axis powers but it proved to be impossible. She is likely to be connected to the creation of the Towers. Phantaminum is likely to be the other Axis King if he is one, connected to the Towers. He is relatively unknown even is TUS, so info about him is very vague. There is speculation that he had told Yuri about Bam's arrival in the Tower because in Yuri's first appearance she mentions that an Irregular will be arriving soon; this is information that no one other than Headon would have. Speculation/Theory: Phantaminum and Oedipus made the Towers and chose promising candidates to climb the Towers in the hopes that one individual would become a God. Most Towers have failed with only a few remaining operational. Oedipus hears about Arlene's troubles and prepares for Bam to climb the Tower. She sends in Enryu to set things up for Bam's eventual arrival. Phantaminum goes into the Tower to give Jahad one last chance to climb the Tower before he is replaced; whilst also clearing some of the obstacles for Bam as well as giving Bam future opportunities through Yuri. Why is this likely the case? Well, Jahad closed off the climb so he is not in good graces with Oedipus or Phantaminum; however, Bam's climb could take a while so Phantaminum likely hashed his beats on both candidates rather than just siding with Bam. In addition, if Jahad were to finish the climb and become a God then Oedipus would likely face his wrath, where Phantaminum would probably be forgiven.

After watching this video, I think Pentaminum went to the tower, because there might be something related to the Axis at the top , that Jahad was afraid of or did not want to face. In addition, I believe that he is the outside god who brought Bam back to life, but I also think he sealed him away in that cave, until the day that his story would take place. So when Pentaminum met Yuri, he did not kill her since she, as you said, had a role to play in the story Pentaminum wants to tell and told her to meet someone that day (When Bam enters the tower). For some reason, Jahad stopped climbing the tower and sealed it off, I think Pentaminum went to face Jahad and fought with him, or just terrified him. However, he did not kill Jahad, since that is not the story he wants to tell. He tells Jahad, that some day he will have to face someone who will kill him, and that he (Pentaminum), will be waiting at the top floor for him (Bam). I think that's the reason Jahad became so inactive, although, I don't know the specific time he went inactive. I think Bam is the only one who can reach the top floor, or at least the key, in reaching it. Because he's pure of heart, unlike, almost anyone else in the Tower seeking power/riches etc. whereas Bam just wants to see Rachel and the cafeteria where they are all eating together.

My theory is Phantaminum = SIU. Heehee. JK. Your theory is interesting. I think it's possible. And I can imagine Bam becoming the god of the tower and the next Phantaminum, while Wangnan shall be the king. Yuri might have been needed for Bam's story to start.... And I think Jahad was needed for Wangnan to exist (it is still unclear how/when Wangnan came to life.... Is it before Phantaminum attacked Jahad's army or not?)

my theory is phentamimum is simply the representation of SIU himself because everything or everyone that Phentamimum killed or destroyed represents SIU's thoughts or everything that SIU wanted. The title Tower of God simply means the author's tower because the story is basically everything that siu wanted, he's the god of the story. siu basically turn his thoughts into a story, The story of Tower of God is his way of self expression. sorry for my poor english but yeah i hope you understand

Urek knows Pentaminium. More than that, it seems he actually got some sort of rivalry with him. He came in the tower looking for him, and when the ranking office ranked him 4, he stormed in and complained he was ranked behind Pentaminium. Not behind Jahad, Enryu, but specifically Pentaminium. Now, we also know Axis arent born this way. Someone can somehow "become" a Axis. Thus the term "Axis User". I think Pentaminium isnt an Axis since very very long (not in tower of god perspective, i mean). The fact Urek see him as a rival, even maybe a friend, make me think he knew Pentaminium from before Pentaminium became an Axis (because being rival to an Axis doesnt make much sense, as Urek is essentially nothing compared to them)

Does bam be any chance become an axis in the end? Maybe phantenium is preparing for the next axis.

I still have the theory that Phantaminum is the user of the Dark September as a recreation of its own weapon considering that the 13 month series are weapons crafted in base of weapons that outsiders use inside the tower. I don’t know if it’s appearance is already showed but I would like to have some similarities whit Madara Uchiha, Kokushibou, etc

What's the source saying he "climbed" the Tower? Urek Mazino has the record for climbing the Tower fastest, but it sounds like Enryu and Pentaminum just went straight to where they liked.

I know the wiki is strained with this topic, but would really love to see a Prince of the red light district video! Would talk about Wagnan and Karakas relationship, even the Captain(Boss) could be considered as a talking point ( since so little is known about the red light district and the princes.. and their similar appearance to Jahad) would be curious to find where the last ring is, does Jahad have it? does the captain have it? What is the talking sword that Wagnan got from the hidden floor??? It was waiting for the prince of the red light district! Who does it want him to kill in return for power? Bam? Jahad? Khuun???

Is it possible that Pentaminum is the "in story" version of SIU? If it wasn't for Urek knowing of him before, and Yuri having seen him, I'd say that it was a story Jahad came up with to scare the tower people from irregulars.

Theres a theory out there that address the purpose of the tower, i couldnt find the link but here's what it says (in general) : We know that whoever gets to the top of the tower can get anything they want. The tower's purpose would be to ''train'' or ''produce'' Axises, and the ones who manage to get to the top are given the possibilty of becoming an Axis. Jahad, who got attached to the people of the tower, learned about this somehow and decided to lock the final floors of the tower to prevent an Axis from being born (maybe the birth of an Axis resets the tower or causes some great cataclysm, its just speculation). Think about it, if Pentaminum was previously an irregular of the tower, why does no one remember him ?

I feel like The boss is just one of Jahad’s eye... the same goes for Karaka and wangnan thus resulting to the three eye symbol... -> omniscient power. Wagnan was placed at the bottom of the tower ( that’s why he had trouble going up), Kara in the middle of the tower and the boss at the top...

I think best way to describe an Axis ability is like a Domain Expansion from Jujutsu Kaisen.

Pentaminum's powerful weapon is his Shadow. From all the descriptions it would make sense and be really cool.

I love how this whole axis thing is involving the author and the readers in the story way more than in other stories. I mean, by definition, axis are the authors of one particular story in the talse uzer story universe. So can't we say that SIU is the number one axis ? The axis of the entire TUS universe. And the same goes for us readers, even if we don't decide what the story will be about, if we all loose interest in tower of god and stop reading it, SIU will probably stop writing it, fatally ending bam's journey. So we're all axis in the tower of god universe. Of course, the same goes for every other piece of work that tells a story (movies, mangas, books, etc...) but SIU is the only one to have actually included and mentionned this role that we and the author have within a tale. Well that's probably not the explanation behind the axis power, but I like this interpretation a lot.

Another possibility is that Pentaminum entered jahad's throne after displaying his power, but after seeing pivatol characters realized that they were a part of some else's story. I think its possible baum is either an Axis or given destiny by another Axis too, whether or not the axis that was dictating the tower's story, Pent could have decided not to interfere with it. This sudden change could explain why sudden and disrupt Pent's appearance is. he started out with his own story in mind, but realized he was entering another axis's territory and dipped.

What if Pantaninum is Urek Mazino's Biological Father. That would explain why Urek is from the outside and is so freaking powerful and as to why Urek is chasing after Pantaninum too as well.

i saw a lot of people talking about enryu, and how he is possibly related to the red witches, and sure, that makes some sense. Red hair matches, and thats cool. But i think that it makes sense that all guides are related to Penamium. Or at the very very least. can in someway read the axis. if we see Pentaminum as its most literal meaning. You can see him as a self insert Siu. And when he "created" the guides, which he absolutely could have, it was to make sure Bam could make it to the top of the tower, but not making it too boring, since guides take the path, even if its incredibly difficult. And this next part is 100% complete pure unadulterated headcanon. But, i think Urek is meant to be a stand in for the audience. Once again, he wants to help bam, but he doesnt want to make it too easy. you cant just Deus Ex Machina him out of everything. The whole "urek is audience" idea comes pretty much solely from the fact that he followed Pentaminum from outside the tower. He wanted to see what he was doing. And the audience probably does have a little control over what goes on.
