"The next time you check into a deserted hotel on the dark side of Hollywood, be sure you know just what kind of vacancy you're filling. Or you may find yourself a permanent resident, of The Twilight Zone..."
What makes the song even creepier is that the lyrics are changed to the perspective of the dead soldiers Vera Lynn is singing to, rather than Lynn herself.
Hang on... this version of the song is sung from the opposite perspective of the more recognisable Vera Lynn version. For example in this version she sings: "Tell them you wont be long" Where as the other version she sings "Tell them I wont be long". I don't know why but I really like that.
So authentic and a beautiful song to match the Tower that one day we will all meet again under a beautiful sun. Rest in Peace to Vera Lynn and The Tower Of Terror DCA version it always get me tearing up all the time.
Yesterday was the day Mission Breakout opened. I was heartbroken to see my favorite ride no longer there. The sad part is, I have only been on it a couple of times years ago because I rarely go to DCA, let alone the Disneyland resort. I loved everything about this ride. Many say the original TOT is better, but this one held a special place in my heart. In my opinion, the DCA TOT looked better (not scarier, but more like an actual hotel), but I do admit that the one in Florida seems like a better experience, considering that the elevator moves into the 5th dimension and the drops are randomized. I look forward to experiencing one day. Until then, we'll meet again. I just found out about this song and I love the eerie 1930's vibe, and I think it's great for TOT. It's just sad that I won't be able to experience it anymore at DCA. I loved the dark aspect of it. The fact that it was creepy, unlike Guardians of the Galaxy, gave me the chills. I truly can't explain how heartbroken I am. I look forward to going to Florida and France to ride the versions there. Florida will be great, and the French ride will remind me of my tower. RIP DCA Tower Of Terror
Last year I saw the “new” guardians of the galaxy ride at DCA, and in a few days I’ll be going back to see it again, though I like the references to journey into imagination with one of the original figment animatronics be in the main lobby, at least the “former” lobby, and the original yeti animatronic from the bobsleds over at the main park. It just hurts to see what has become of the tower, it pretty much saved the park from rides like “superstar limo” and the rest of the night and Day differences between Disneyland and DCA. You can even see the remanent pieces of the hotel scattered outside and the former boiler room is just made “new” by minor changes and lights and things everywhere. It just seems like in multiple different ways this was a bad decision, it was a beloved ride, it’s now an eyesore and doesn’t fit well with Buena vista street and has little to no connection with the surroundings as it once was. I wonder why they did it... Oh wait, I know, *money and greed* Of course
Not to sound too bougie, but I was lucky enough to be able to ride all 3 versions of the ToT and Florida is definitely the best. I loved the aesthetics of the Paris one (the waiting area was GORGEOUSLY creepy lol) but as far as ride experience, Florida is the best!
oh my god, I was putting together a playlist of eerie '30s songs - ironically enough, inspired by the Tower of Terror - and one of the first songs I thought of adding was We'll Meet Again for the very end. I get to the very end of this playlist and that's exactly what I hear. This is a beautiful collection! Really sets the mood in the queue.
Ppl talk abt how this song sounds haunted cause of the tower of terror but what was rlly haunting was that soldiers left for ww2 when this song came out so it’s more a sense of foreboding for the real ppl during ww2
It won't. It was the first one in Disney that was made, so chances are they will leave it and won't change it to the stupid guardians of the galaxy ride.
well i wouldn't call the guardians ride stupid remember it can always be worse like when the last back to the future ride standing was replaced with freaking minions
Was that in Orlando or Hollywood because I remember Despicable Me replacing Jimmy Neutron and Jimmy replaced Hannah Barbara before it and Back to the future was replaced with the Simpsons ride, at least in Orlando, not sure about Hollywood
I always think of the grown son visiting his Mum with dimentia and she breaks into this song and they both sing it together and she recognizes him as his son for a brief window as they sing, "We'll meet again... don't know where... don't know when... but I know we'll meet again some sunny day..." my heart breaks
OMG THANK YOU SOO MUCH!!! I've been looking ages for this version of We'll Meet Again since I first went on the ride about 7 years ago lol! XD Thank you!!

This is real music from the 30's. The ride just makes it sound more ghostly. Anyway, imagine we went from this to songs about sex and love these days lol xD. Its amazing how history changes.
ordinarily i would of thought of this as a sweet song but since i heard this for the first time on this ride its always freaked me out slightly! but i still like the song! :D
I was entering the ride and literally almost flipped out when I heard that this song was on. Looks like we all know now where Bill ended up going to after he got erased.
