Dang dude those speakers are pretty! Crazy seeing that much extension on a tower speaker - 12" is the size of all of my subs in my room!! Great work on the video mate.

Great video! I am a long time customer of Legacy which in the early day's was Reel to Real. I bought the "classic" speakers in 1985 for $1,600. I kept those till 2019. Then bought the Legacy HD monitors which are gorgeous and almost full range. The build quality of Legacy is a 10.

I recently listened to the Aeris in Legacy's demo suite at T.H.E. show in Costa Mesa, CA. The sound quality was very impressive even in a room that seemed way too small for such a big room capable speaker.

I had a pair of Aeris speakers and have never seen those subwoofers move like in this video. What dB level were you playing at? There was one time I did play a frequency sweep (room mode test) from 24 to 280 Hz. I had my system set up for mean SPL of 75dB at the listening position. However, I didn't take into account that these frequencies were captured at full amplitude. The experience totally freaked me out as my ceiling, walls, and floor all vibrated when the sweep was at the low end for the frequency range. I have wood veneer walls and it felt like they were breaking apart. I now have the Valors.

I had them turned up quite a bit, I wasn't measuring them for this, so I'm not sure at what DB. Wow, the Valors are even more incredible. What would you say the Valors do better than the Aeris?

@@SpecOfTech The Valors are more coherent in that they use a concentric driver for the lower midrange and up. ie. Two AMT cross-firing tweeters with waveguide/compression driver for upper midrange, and 14 inch cone driver for lower midrange. The two 14 inch bass drivers are in D'appolito configuration, which essentially turns this large speaker into a point source. The forward and downward firing 12 inch subwoofers go down to 12Hz. They generate so much bass energy that they turn my suspended wood floor into a large speaker. I ended up getting some Townshend Isolation platforms to isolate the speaker from the floor. The Valor drivers are also over twice as fast as the Aeris drivers so pull out a lot more detail. With live music, you can hear the excitement of the individuals in the crowd. The ambient array (rear and sideways firing drivers) also add reflected sound to the mix to try to recreate the reverberant field so that you feel like you are more at the location of the recording. It can feel like I am in a big hall for some music tracks and feel like I am in a small room for other types. The sound stage depth is much greater with the Valors. I am not a classical music listener. With the Valors, there is so much more detail that it sounds to sound a bit more interesting. It creates a lot more separation of the individual instruments in the group of instruments (e.g. a group of violins instead of a mash of violins).

You are correct. It's the Tonewinner D8000+, dual 15" driver and 1500 watts RMS. It has some impressive output.

You are correct. It's the Tonewinner D8000+ and the D9000. They are quite impressive. I'm not 100% sure what their North American pricing will be, but I'm sure they will be priced to make the competition sweat a little haha. I know their performance will make the competition sweat.

Great setup but rid yourself of the rattling as that would drive me crazy. LOL I have the Focus's and prefer two channel playback with fewer room obstacles but love the Aeris speakers as they are on another level entirely....
