I am so close to purchasing one. How hot does it run. I will put an Infinity Aircon T10 on it, regardless would like feedback on heat production with this amp. I appreciate your review here @SpecOfTech, I just wish there were more reviews out there, understanding this Amp was just released in Dec. For me this is a 'want' not a 'need'. The positive for me is I will be collapsing 3 current amps to one (this one) and in the process upping the L/C/R and surround/heights power output. Thank you for this review!
I almost purchased the AMV70 last week when it was on sale . I have the AVM60 upstairs now for my 5.1 home theatre ,also the matching Anthem mca525 5 ch amp . I need a system for my home gym ,basically a 2.1 ch , although I want to run a second set of stereo channels with my future in wall speaker install further in the gym . My first idea was to purchase Anthems MRX540 but was concerned about fan noise. So my next idea was to buy the processor as I’m assuming there’s no internal fans, and relocate the AVM60 to the gym and put the 70 upstairs . I don’t have a send amplifier ,but was tempted to use my Cambridge CXA80 as an amplifier temporarily in the gym . Unfortunately the sale is off this week , so I settled for a Denon receiver. Maybe in the next lifetime. It’s interesting,as at first I disliked the new look of Anthems new receivers and pre pros,but the more I see them it’s really grown on me . The Denon looks extremely dated imo , and I’m not a big fan
Would you choose the Aredals center channel or the SVS Ultra center channel?? After reviewing them...to Broadcast the Center Sounds Better??? Or is there cement another that may catch your ears?? which one sounds better Svs Ultra Center or Klipsch Rp-504c MkIl for movies?? i like klipsch sounds better Svs Ultra Center mid bass sounds great but treble lags which one do you think is better?
@SpecOfTech --- The processor has 16 channels, but two amplifiers only have 14 channels... how do you power the remaining channels? Why doesn't it have XLR for all subwoofers? Will mixing XLR and RCA affect the sound?
Could you compare them to the Nano's? I just bought the Nano's to use as my main with the Ultra Evolution Center, but didn't install yet, but would be good to see what differences you have from one another.
The speakers you got have no veneer. It looks like painted MDF. That's not even an option from Legacy. Their most basic option is black oak, if you do an image search you'll clearly see the woodgrain in pics online. Very weird!
I have one and love it ..there a few bugs with all AVR out there they nake great stuff so I knew I had backup for any problems in the future but so far so good thanks for the video😊
Great review! well done! As an Apartment dweller, I am kind of stuck with Bookshelf speakers, mainly because the Apt is so SMALL!! My Sonus Faber floor standers, and dual 15" subs are all gone. I am now on a quest to recreate some of the magic that system had. The SVS might have some qualities that I am looking for. Truthfully, I really miss the Legacy sound. Once you have owned, and have heard what they can do, just can't unhear it. Thanks for the great description! Cheers!
Looks great. Question, does the wave launch do room correction for all 7 speakers in your system or just the Aeris? If it’s just the Aeris, I wonder how the room correction in your main processor will work with the wave launch. My dream system will include the Lyngdorf MP-40 and using its Room Perfect DSP. I wonder if they would play nice together. It’s probably a moot point, because either the Legacy Signature SE or Focus SE are my realistic speakers in the near future.
A little bit. When there are bright scenes you will notice them more than something black. I guess it depends on your ability not to be distracted lol.
Great Recording.................. Like others of hers. Madonna's Vogue on The Dick Tracy Album is a great recording. All the other songs on the album are completely different than Vogue & they're terrific sounding. You would never guess it's Madonna on the other songs. It's worth a quick listen.
The Arendal 1723/S monitors are very bass light below 80hz as they are designed to be used with a sub no question. You'll likely get a fuller sound if using these on their own.
I think you would be pleasantly surprised in the improvements these provide over the previous version. Stay tuned for my comparison of these versus the previous Ultra bookshelves. It should be releasing next Saturday, if all goes according to plan.
wow this sound demo sounds incredible through my ear buds. what a great idea to have people play speakers in another room that gets recorded on a microphone, compressed and uploaded to youtube, and then played back through whatever they happen to be listening on. really brilliant stuff here, this guy is really among the best in speaker reviews.
Somebody didn't use his fancy dollar store ear buds to listen to my disclaimer that was literally in the video, that LITERALLY covered exactly what you just so condescendingly laid out. Maybe pay attention before insulting others smart guy 😏😉.
Where is your video review? Or any reviews actually? Did you hear anything the man said in the video? What exactly would you do to satisfy your question? Would you expect him to set up the speakers in your room for the price off free99? Touch grass.

First of all - ignore the haters, you have given him too much attention. We are here to see what product is better, or better value for money. I own the PB2000 pro and I'm pretty disappointed. The SVS can shake the room, and make everything vibrate, but you can not feel the chest pounding at all. After recently viewing a Tool live concert, I now know what chest pounding bass should feel like with every drum kick, but the SVS has none. Another problem with the SVS is a loud port noise at high volume levels, it just doesn't sound good at high levels.

I almost purchased the mrx540 as it’s just for my home gym, but was considered with fan noise. I’m sure I’m going to regret it , as I love the looks of the new Anthem receivers , pre pros etc . It’s obviously hard to critique sound on an iPad Pro, but I thought the music sounded superior on the Anthem . Anyways best of luck with your channel and keep up the good work. Anthem tech support says the very first thing you do before launching ARC is to do a quick measure and calibrate your subs . . . Must have missed that part, huh?

I had a Marantz pre pro and their 5 channel amp . Other than having to factory reset it several times the first couple years it worked great . I finally couldn’t take looking at it anymore as I hate those portholes and replaced it with an Anthem AVM60 pre pro . It’s worked flawlessly and I love the look of a big brick of black brushed aluminum. I was disappointed when I first seen Anthems new line up , but it’s really growing on me the more I watch these videos
Been looking forward to this video since you purchased the Legacy speakers. I am sure you will do another one on them. Please consider reviewing the entire system,side and rear speakers as well. I love my music but my family and I are big time home theater enthusiasts so you total review of your system is much appreciated. Once again congratulations on your purchase!
I have an Emotiva XMC-2 and it sounds phenomenal!! I had some hiccups with input switching after I first got it, but that all seems to have been addressed by firmware updates. I watched Mad Max Fury Road for the first time last night and was absolutely blown away!!
I have an anthem 1140 along with left / right paradigm founder 120s and a 90 c center channel. Would this A11 be a great addition or should I go with an anthem str or anthem power amp. My founder 120s have a built in 1,000 watt amp so technically I would just be using the amp for the tweeter and mid range. Or should I invest my money into something else to get better sound. I mainly listen to two channel music and watch movies and sports. Thanks much
