Some highlights from the last adventure. Get asked a lot regards the tow vehicle & what modifications are done.... keep them as stock standard as possible to test with. The Hilux was a manual, with the standard 2.8l motor, towing approx' 3.3t, had stock suspension with just some rear assisting airbags, standard chip & exhaust, with just the tyres changed. Is pretty amazing what the factory vehicle is capable of! Thanks for tuning in, & safe travels!

Wish we had small size diesel pick ups in North america, Seems like we are coerced into buying a big boy full size for any diesel options at all, totally sucks for guys who want to tow larger weights and want the diesel. we only got big trucks, Great video btw guys! Wish my yota had a diesel in it :,D

G'day fellas. Just wondering I currently own a 95 model 80 series landcruiser with max brake towing of 2500kg. I am looking for a caravan to suit my growing family which is about to become a family of 2 adults and 4 kids but all the caravans I've looked at are right on the tow weight without adding anything such as water and other stuff. How do you legally increase the breaking tow weight of your vehicle. Not nit picking but just curious for my own vehicle.

Hi mate, thanks for the note and see you had a great trip up the Cape with the family also, the spots certainly brought backside memories! :) With regards to your note, have seen there has only been recently some options with companies offering tow capacity upgrades, but only on say the 200 series from what have seen. Unfortunately there isn't any way I know of that you can increase the towing for your 80 series to assist. Thanks again for the note and interest! And hope you continue to enjoy those travels!!!
