@@DiscountCyberTruck but does it really matter what George Washington would think? Are the opinions of a man who lived 200 odd years ago really relevant in today's society. Don't get me wrong, for his time George was liberal in his ideas and ideals, but he also owned slaves and he didn't believe in some things we see as basic human rights today. What I am trying to say is that we shouldn't look hundreds of years backwards for problems that are effecting us today. In George's day he wanted the people to be able to take up arms against the government should it become oppressive. In our day we are concerned about the massacres, the mass shootings and school shootings that are killing innocent people. I would just like to add this is just what I have seen as an outsider looking in, I live in a country that has the privilege of universal healthcare and tighter gun laws. Gun laws that I might add are still relatively lax compared to other countries.
Joe Gerhard USA you’re calling him a Marxist? Him? The guy who wants to cut the deficit? To protect capitalism? Do you realize who he is running against? Bernie Sanders?

Geez this guy is prepared. I don't consider some of these to be "gotcha" questions, but when he's actually pressed for specifics and other people wouldn't answer or would give an answer lacking substance, he comes out with an escalated second-tier response to cover the base. Not even saying it's a good or bad thing, or that the responses or good or bad. Just impressed with his thoroughness. Especially because his polished/rehearsed wording makes it sounds so thoughtful, like it was genuinely considered before being built into sound byte form.
He reminded me very much of a typical Danish politician, well prepared, decent vocabulary range and smoke screening when needed. He does make his political intentions abundantly clear but when it comes to democracy it´s almost impossible to promiss as compromises are part of a modern democracy, he clarifies the agenda without making promisses, that is an incredibly difficult thing to do.
Vincent Florio - Pete has knowledge and experience and expects to justify his actions. For Trump however he is as much intentionally ignorant as he 'is' ignorant. If reporters expect Trump to not know, then their questions get simpler and Trump avoids having to explain anything beyond garbled rhetoric. Ben Carson and Betsy de Vos similarly 'fake' ignorance to good effect.

Let’s hope Chris and Shepard Smith continue to be the shining lights emanating from an otherwise dark source.

I've known months ago, my vote is for Pete Buttigieg. I do appreciate the fact he does not have to resort to hyperbole, rhetoric, "catch phrases" insults and diversion to make himself known, heard and remembered. I want a President who I can understand and depend on to use his abilities for the good of us all. His articulate speech is a strong asset in all matters. Whether he is addressing the issues at home or using diplomacy abroad, his placid demeanor is a strength that encourages others to want to listen. Not authoritarian or dominating, but inclusive. He is also very smart, curious, ambitious, motivated, genuine, and experienced.
*cringe* By all means speak to the strengths of the candidate you support, but please don't succumb to the woo of a politician. In business, politics, and dating, be very wary of people who talk a good game. A less eloquent individual gives away their intent. The sweeter the pot, the stickier the honey-trap. You have a beautifully written comment. I can reasonably assume you are an intelligent human being. Mayor Pete is thoughtful, reasonable, courageous and honest about who he is. People may agree or disagree with where he stands, but you won't wonder where that is. And he reminds us, "We're all people" and this country is worth fighting for.
Yes! He is a true radical leftist and a true Democrat - despises Christians, hates, conservatives, demands the destruction of the electoral college, support 9th month abortion, and demands that the name of Thomas Jefferson must be removed from all public places. A True Dem!
@@myfavs5393 He believes the person who gets the most votes ought to win the presidency. Nothing really radical about that. I hope this will change at some point but I'm not sure when. It is refreshing listening to Mayor Pete who can clearly articulate his thoughts and ideas and do it respectfully. Regardless of who wins the nomination I'm sure we won't be seeing the last of him.
Yes indeed! FF a year later, he played Mike Pence in the VP debate prep for Kamala Harris and I hope and trust that he will have a significant role in a Biden/Kamala administration. I feel he has so much to offer that it would be a shame if he's not given a significant role to serve this country.
Sumora can’t tell you how refreshing it is to hear someone acknowledge that. I never watch Fox cuz I personally can’t stand them, but it’s refreshing to hear one of their viewers recognize their biases
Pete sounds like the only guy Trump would truly struggle with on a debate stage. I don’t think Trump’s slogans would work against Pete’s intelligent and honest approach and I think Trump’s bravado could be easily punctured. I’d gladly vote for him if he’s able to win the nomination

I appreciate his response to the questions about how to reach out to African American voters-he noted that he's planning to make the effort through both engaging with voters AND providing substantive policy solutions. Joe Biden's lead among black voters is baffling to me, given that his policy record has not been kind to the black community (i.e. 1994 crime bill). The one thing that never will live up to the constitution is how big corporations govern and what they do to corrupt the public government, trash the U.S. constitution and bill of rights by robbing the tax paying citizens of their right to have a voice in their government and assemble before their elected leaders with grievance regarding injustice. The fact that the very wealthiest pay by percentage less tax than working families and that Mayor Pete offers intellectually dishonest double speak with his "Medicare for all who want it" is one of the leading indicators of the disingenuousness of his campaign.
