Because he deserves it kannada industry doesn't hero worshipping of the level that telugu and tamil industry have only two people have attained this status annavaru and puneeth anna because of there work they deserved this they never showed that they are helping people but they did work secretly we got to know about puneeth Anna's work after his death only now u see his photos everywhere now same with annavara not only he helped people he raised awareness about kannada and it's importance and helped in gokak agitation for making kannada the official language of karnataka until then it was not there so this is the difference between them and others they worked for people and culture.
