The creative minds behind Disney•Pixar's groundbreaking animated blockbusters invite you back inside the toy box for a heartwarming and hilarious movie you'll never forget. In Toy Story 3, Woody (voiced by Tom Hanks), Buzz Lightyear (voiced by Tim Allen) and the rest of the Toy Story gang return for an all-new adventure, along with a few new faces - some plastic, some plush - including Barbie's counterpart Ken (voiced by Michael Keaton), a thespian hedgehog named Mr. Pricklepants (voiced by Timothy Dalton) and a strawberry-scented bear named Lots-o'-Huggin' Bear (voiced by Ned Beatty). It's "the biggest, best, most exciting Toy Story of them all," raves Access Hollywood's Scott Mantz. As Andy prepares to depart for college, Woody, Buzz, Jessie and the rest of Andy's faithful toys wonder what will become of them. But, when a mix-up lands them at Sunnyside Daycare, they meet a host of new toys and soon discover a wild new adventure is just beginning!

Someone's also a How It Should Have Ended fan! But, yeah. It's the truth. Although, I'd argue that Daisy could've noticed her beloved stuffed bear was replaced, as it probably looked too new. Then again, I'm kinda basing the idea of kids knowing that their favorite toys were replaced from sitcoms. On the other hand, I think I'd notice if my favorite toys, Elephant and Blankot were replaced. On the third hand, that's mostly because they had a decent amount of rips and tears. Also, Daisy was probably five or four, so she didn't really have a knowledge for details at the time. Either way, yeah, Lotso's anger was pointless, which you could argue makes him all the more tragic.

I don't cry, but I feel them, and it feels like I am being torn apart at the seams. I might not have been a 90s kid, but I was an early 2000s kid. This movie series brings me back to the time I knew and loved. I don't cry, but I feel it in the pit of my stomach. It gnaws at me every time.

Toy Story 3 made us ALL ugly cry. If it didn't, get your heart checked. It really is one of the most beautiful endings in movie history, and the perfect way to wrap up the Toys' story (which is why I have yet to see the fourth movie). This ending STILL makes me cry, as evidenced by the fact I'm drying tears after watching it in this video. It's just perfect. And yes, Andy was going to keep Woody because Woody is a collectible toy and a family heirloom, a toy owned by his dad and passed down to Andy before his dad's death.

Pixar’s ability to articulate the human condition in such a kind and non-pretentious manner blows my mind and cracks my heart every time. An example of abusive parenting is lotsos relationship with big baby and daisy. Sometimes during breakups a parent would grow angry and resentful, and talk trash about the other spouse. They feed those that look to them for guidence lies and does it to justify their actions. Just for comparison sake let's say that Lotso and Daisy are adult humans. Big baby would be their kid and the clown guy a family friend maybe.

I saw this in theaters with my mom, I had just recently moved out and let me tell you, we made damn fools of ourselves in that theater with how much we cried. How a silly story about Toys evolved into this heartfelt masterpiece is a testament to the creators at Pixar.

I quote that.I personally liked to see more of Bo-Peep and her relationship with Woody that was never really explored in the previous movie, but I *HATED* to see Woody having Bonnie's name replacing Andy's on his boot, expecially seeing how she treated him 🤬 (I'm not _blaming_ her,but...if you're gonna be a"lost toy"in the end..sorry for the SPOILER..at least let me see a scene in which Woody takes out Bonnie's name as well!)and I could only watch that movie once or twice because Woody's italian voice actor died and the new voice sounds nothing like the old one and I just can't deal with it(ironic, considering his new voice actor is Tom Hank's"official"italian voice actor)!😭💔BUT if you watch this movie in English you won't have that problem and,to the film's credit,I must say, other than Bo-Peep,another *very good thing* has been all the part about Gabby Gabby. That is worth to watch,IMO,for more than a reason. Basically,if you wanna keep the 3rd movie as the saga's ending that's *perfectly fine* but _MAYBE_ you are losing the chance to experience some more good stuff coming out of this franchise....Just a tip.🙂

Fun fact: John Lasseter, one of the creative animation directors at Pixar and Disney Animation is a really good friend with Hayao Miyazaki. I think you recently watched or started watching Miyazaki's Ghibli films, correct me if I'm wrong though. But there's a toy in Bonnie's room which is the grey Totorro plushie. It doesn't have any lines at all but was animated in there as a tribute and reference to Miyazaki's iconic friendship with Disney. When they started releasing the Studio Ghibli's films with english translated dub in the West, Disney was one of the company's that was on board with sharing Miyazaki's animation style. Most of the inspiration you see in the Disney/Pixar films are thanks to Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli.

And then by the time this one came out, I had been in college a couple of years, but that year was the first I was attending school away from my home state. An animation school. Because I grew up fascinated by movies like this trilogy. 😭 Boy did that bring it full-circle. ❤️

This one always makes me ugly cry - it came out at the end of my senior year of high school, right as my friends and I were going through the same struggles with shedding childhood that Andy was and as we were preparing to make our own college/career journeys. A big group of us went to go see it at a drive-in theater, with no idea what themes it was going to be addressing, and I swear every single one of us was sobbing by the end. 😭😂 Talk about perfect timing for ultimate emotional impact.

She answered saying: “Because Andy’s going to college and he’s leaving his mom”. I think that shows very well priorities 😂

Very few creative teams are able to tug at your heartstrings so perfectly... and then strangle you with your own heartstrings while sucker punching you. The people at Pixar manage to find those things we all experience in some way, and breaking it down to a raw, core feeling/principle.

I saw that movie in the US when I stayed there for an internship. I went to an evening showing. And I had the most traumatizing experience ever: during the incinerator scene, I was starting to get very terrified when they surrender and accept death... and some kids started crying and screaming. It was like a snowball: so so many kids started crying and screaming in the room, parents started to stand and leave and many did just when the God claw saved the day but it was too late, the kids were still all crying and screaming. It's like the silence of the lambs for me now, the screams of the kids haunt me to this day! It was such a terrifying experience!

Fun fact: The garbage guy at the start and at the end (not the one who found Lotso and strapped him to the garbage trunk) is in fact Sid from Toy Story 1, even wearing the same skull t-shirt (maybe not the EXACTLY same t-shirt unless it was resized) and Eric Von Detten still voices him. This is comfirmed by director Lee Unkrich in the audio commentary.

I didn’t have much of a choice with most of my toys, we lost our childhood home completely to black mold, very old house with all of our old toys we couldn't bring. I still have a big purple bear, Michael Angelo, I managed to save. My oldest toy I've had since I was 2. I'm 24 and still have him. Poor toy went through a lot, I need to restore him like Woody in Toy Story 2 haha. He lost his eyes when I was a kid so as a kid I came up with a story of how he became a blind bear. He is so iconic to my family that my older teen brother said, "If you ever try to throw him away I WILL take him!" I was surprised because he is not a toy guy let alone stuffed animals 😅

I don't believe we have to say goodbye to our childhoods. We can incorporate them into our adult lives. So what if something seems a little childish? Be yourself! Just because you are an adult, doesn't mean you should throw all your fun away. You are you. Do what you like. Follow the path you want. If someone tells you, that you are acting like a kid, or being "outdated", don't listen to them. Be yourself. Happiness is when you let your inner self go loose.

The college I went to had it's own movie theater where they'd show movies for cheap, so students could actually afford to go. This came out my freshman year, and I saw it the Friday that it was first shown in the university's theater. This movie hit like a bag of bricks. It was an auditorium full of sobbing young adults by the end. Most of the people that I talked to leaving the theater said that they actually DID bring their favorite toy with them to college, or they left them at home with younger family members. I gave my parents strict instructions not to throw mine out, but to give them to my niece instead. I personally wish the franchise stopped here. I feel like some of the themes in the fourth one aren't the best when it comes to teaching boundaries to children.

Did anyone else pick up on the accuracy of the three star wars references in the three toy story movies? In A New Hope you have Tarkin as Leia about the rebel base. In Toy Story 1, Sid interrogates Woody about his rebel friends In Empire Strikes Back, Vader says the iconic line to Luke. In Toy Story 2, Zurg says it to “other” Buzz In Return of the Jedi, Luke turns Palpatines right hand man, Vader, and vader lifts him up then tosses Palpatine to his “presumed” death. In Toy Story 3, Woody turns Lotso’s right hand man, Big Baby, who then lifts Lotso and goes to throw him to his “presumed” death. Idk just a funny and accurate reference. Very subtle too lol

I finally watched this reaction and it is so good. The movie itself is so good. I saw it in theaters when it came out. When they were all about to die and held hands get me. I actually have a stuffed bear still from my childhood. I remember playing with it and then it needed fixing (probably my fault) and once I got it back I couldn't play with it like I did. That bear I fell in love with over at my grandparent's house and my grandmother is no longer here, so that alone makes me keep it now. It's tired to her especially since she is the one that gave him to me and got him fix for me. That bear is the most important toy I ever had when I look back because of my grandmother.

I don't know if you know it, but I'm extremely thankful that you're very open about your feelings whenever you watch touching scenes. I think you're incredibly strong for tearing up at these scenes. It always bothered me how men would bottle all of that inside and NEVER CRY. Honestly, that's already proven to be unhealthy to men's mental health in general. That's why I feel like you're making change even if you don't think you are. I'm glad that other boys and men have you as an example for that. It's important to me too, as a woman. No one thinks that's important but I do and I want you to know that. I hope you never stop! I hope you let tragic, sad, joyful, and impactful stories move you in all sorts of ways. I loved your reaction to this, JV, and had the same one -- I was crying again right along with you. That final moment that gets me so much is when Andy looks back -- and for a split second, seeing his toys, and especially Woody and Buzz in Bonnie's arms -- he sees them as alive. He knows they are alive. And his breath catches one last time. And he bids them farewell. Meanwhile, I especially love the way it addresses the toys' reactions to the fact that they are getting older, and they recognize that they have finite lives (and time to be played with). Which is why the movie hits me in the feels after the escape (which is a fantastic homage to The Great Escape movie) -- look at the trash situation. Woody unhesitatingly risks his life to save Lotso repeatedly (and Buzz backs up Woody because he loves Woody). And then facing the incinerator, there is that simple expression of love as all the toys take hands and accept that they are going to die (I cry every time, especially when they try to calm down poor scared Bullseye). And then that final playtime with Andy. For me this is where it ends, and perfectly. (I liked 4, I just disliked it as a TS movie and wish it had just been a new movie. I hated where it left all the characters after this perfect ending. For me I try to forget it exists.)

The ending really hits you. It kinda speaks to your inner child and when you had to give up your toys to move on. This movie made it so dramatic and yet so sweet too. Who knew a movie about sentient toys could anyone cry. This movie’s ending is one of the saddest Pixar’s ever done tied with Monster’s Inc. It’s too bad Toy Story 4 utterly destroyed that ending with its bad writing, plot holes and it’s treatment with the main characters.
