I do have some strange issues. Though I don't know if this was bad luck, or more just that the figure is just unacceptably weak, and most people don't handle it enough to notice, or they ignore it's problems because they want to believe it's the best combiner of all time. It could also be that it's just always on the point of breaking, but it's just durable enough to not, but the paint is an added stressor to the figure, which just stacks it's tolerances one too high to the point it can't withstand it any more.
The three people I've spoken to about this figure all say exactly what PerspectiveEnd has just said. Even the unpainted versions are as strong as wet tissue, the overly thick paint makes things worse.
Honestly happy with my CW devastator that came a week or so ago. The limb robot modes aren't anything to brag about, but for the pricepoint, it being mainline AND the size, he does the trick.
Ditto. I love my UW Devastator. And, seemingly unpopular opinion, POTP Predaking is my favourite combined combiner! Yeah, the individual bots and animal forms for 4 of the 5 are pants (I like Razorclaw and that's it) but as a giant robot, he works. I like it. Devastator as a set though? WAYYYYY better!
The other day, MMC accidentally showed off a promotional video for the protectobots. At the end there was a black outline of a combiner foot that looked a lot like Mixmaster. So there's a chance MMC might be making an all built in Devastator. (Take this with a grain of salt. Nothing has been confirmed, this is just what a lot of people are speculating.)

This review was sad and entertaining at the same time. Don’t mean to laugh at your pain but it was, to put it short, hilarious. I received one for Xmas 2020, standard color and honestly, I combined and transformed these guys more than my other transformers and I haven’t had a single issue. From posing to combining. Hell, I have poses where he’s actually holding other transformers. Parts forming is the only bummer on this figure. You have one more new subscriber btw…

Don't. Especially not this version. The paint job looks cool, but it ruins the figure, I'd be willing to be that almost every issue I have with breakages can be traced back to the the paint. The figure is still too brittle and too willing to come apart, but I'd be willing to bet the paint is putting excess stress on the joints which is what caused them to break. Long Hauls broken mushroom peg had paint on it too. That said, fix all the breakages, and the extraordinary tightness of everything and you still have a Devastator who doesn't really pose better than a Siege Figure who is miserably no fun to combine.
I wouldn't say that was bile I had for Devastator, I love Devastator. I wouldn't have spent most of 1000 dollars on a figure of him if I didn't. I was just asking why he's the only one who gets a pass.
@@PerspectiveEnd most likely, and even then, at least the generations toy ones had a clear goal in mind, overall they're very not meant to be g1 accurate and i'm fine with that. Also, unlike the toyworld mess, the only partsforming piece is the purple chest thing (that i also don't care about). The forearms sure, they're technically separete pieces, but they can be integrated with Bonecrusher and Scavenger so they really don't count as partsforming. A much better deal than this trash

I mean I've seen stuff 3P has done thats worse the Mainline stuff before, but they don't usually charge this much for it. I can see how this could have been good, but it's not even half of what it should be.
The green plastic on these figures is pretty brittle too. The winged chest plate cracked and split the peg holes it ports into. I'm thinking of dremelling those ports into C shaped ports to relieve the pressure the pegs exert on the green plastic, and to prevent further cracking of it. I own the X version. I recommend using the grease used for rc toys on everything that needs to bend, slide, or socket.
The fact that you need to use a serious grease is ridiculous. And you said the green plastic is brittle, but then you described his purple chest plate?
@@PerspectiveEnd Yup, the green plastic used didn't seem to hold up to the stress from the pegs on the chest plate when attaching the chest plate to the torso. Hope that makes more sense. The grease isn't necessarily heavy grade grease, more so food grade, and used for models and remote control toys. But yeah, the item as a whole has many issues.
You don't even have to take off the hands for the tiny legends Devastator. It can transform with it attached and it only sticks out a bit in vehicle mode, and can be kept in the back of robot mode as a little backpack. That makes it an all-in-one combiner like Assaultus.
@@PerspectiveEnd They already had a backpack to begin with, having an open palm sticking out and the fingers contouring over the combiner joint isn't that unsightly.
Most third party stuff is fantastic, and I mean Chug just had Cliffjumper and Arcee, so they aren't exactly sinless. This guy is beyond a disappointment.

My personal reasons why besides money is the questionable legality of it, I mean obviously if Hasbro had an issue they'd shut them down, and besides Zeta Toys I don't think they ever have. But I'm a boy scout about these kinda things, I once bought an old game for a modern AAA price rather than get it from some abandonware site, then I looked for it again for a friend of mine only to find now it's goin for $15-20. @@ratchetmechani2002 Have you seen Phoenix (Skyfire) or Sovereign (Galvatron) by Fans Toys? What about Cang Toys' Predaking figures? If Hasbro/Takara Tomy made Transformers of that quality, I'd buy theirs, but they don't. Mastermind Creations stuff is always excellent and Peru Kill and Challenger by Unique Toys are stunningly good. Look at a few reviews of the figures I've mentioned, if you like masterpiece level stuff, those legal qualms you have may dissipate. You do you and what feels right, I just don't want people to miss out on the golden age of collecting Transformers due to a misplaced loyalty for a company that, like all big businesses, sees you as a wallet on legs.

Heck that Tarn figure on this channel Perspective reviewed looked excellent too. But then there's stuff like this and that Bayformers Devastator that don't really appeal. Funny, both those are Devastators lol. I'll take back what I said about quality being a reason though, it is mostly money and the legality of it. Only other reason is there's few if any CHUG style third party figures and Masterpiece, besides MP-21 Bumblebee, don't really appeal to me as much cuz of the transformations (again besides Bee) and price. I'd LOVE to get the MP Beast Wars stuff, but I got Kingdom, I'm happy with that.
Oh man, I'm sorry dude. Just know that you have made this guy extremely thankful. I have been casually thinking of springing for this set for a long time. I was actually looking at the battle damaged version, but I'm sure the same faults exist with that one as well due to the paint. I would have been just as fucked. The last time I had the chance to put down some big money on a "set" of some kind, it was between Constructor and a set of used chrome edition Giga dinos. I ended up paying a cool grand for the Dinos in the end, much more than Constructor would have been. Decided my Jinbao Devy is good enough for me considering I only had a Masterpiece Grimlock for my Dinobots. Again, thanks. And again, sorry dude.
Glad to hear it, I have to say that I had some trepidation posting this video because I thought what if it was just me, but then a bunch of people have come forward reporting similar issues to me. There were about as many defending it as well, but if it's a coin flip as to weather or not you spend most of a thousand bucks and the thing breaks, I say it's not worth it. The Gigapower figures are AWESOME I love those guys... Well Except for the Sluge, the way his legs work are a pain, and I hate the head on him. And thank's, don't worry about me.
I have the “Perfect Edition” of this one & its kool. I definitely do not have these problems at all (Thank Goodness) I also have the Jinbao Devastator (Check out the comparison Stop Motion video I did with mine) I like em both for different reasons
Well I bought the first box set version of constructor since it is way cheaper than buying one of the upcoming Devastators. My copy has good feeling plastic. nothing broke when combining and the combined mode is solid. The stability could be a bit better but it’s not a pain to pose at all. So overall I am very happy with mine.
I dont have the cell shaded version i have the yellow g2 version and i have no issuses with mine. Did u buy it 2nd hand? And yes Scraper is suppose to have an ankle tilt
I did not buy it second hand I bought it from a reputable online store, that I've never had issues with before. I'd be willing to say a huge number of issues are caused by the paint job. I think the extraordinarily thick paint is putting excess stress on the joints, and making everything significantly tighter than it is supposed to be. Were that fixed though, it would still be a weak posing, and painfully unfun in combination figure, and the chest would still separate from the lower body for no reason.
It's been the recent releases of this figure that have been suffering from all these breakages. I'm not sure which versions it started from, but the consensus is that if it came in a foam packaging insert, then it was fine. If it came in a plastic clamshell insert, then it had problems. I've have the original boxset of this and to this day, nothing's broken on it, despite my attempts of heavy handed transformations from bot mode to alt mode to combined mode. And then taking it apart to repaint parts of it and reassembling it. If there was any praise for this figure, it wasn't that version or any of the ones that came out within the last few years. It's still the best MP sized combiner Devastator. All the others are too short to really call MP scale, and I liked the Combiner Wars/Unite Warriors Devastator.
I've actually had subscribers who got the first run of this set ever and they say it breaks just like mine. And I don't know what to tell you but, mine had a Foam Packaging insert.
@@PerspectiveEnd I mean, I've seen a number of people who have had the first run Constructors as well as recent versions who haven't had any issues. It's tough because the plastic insert for us was a way of telling us that the quality took a dive. It wasn't a definitive thing. But if anyone asks about buying Toyworld Constructor, I advise them not to for the very rampant QC problems. Not only that, there's really no customer service either, since Toyworld no longer exists or handles any complaints. Retailers can only do so much, they can't replace parts so people will be out of luck. I enjoyed your rant on this particular version, but I kind of have to say that this figure is actually really good, if you don't get a dud. Parts forming is another debate altogether, but I do find it very useful for stability and getting the necessary height to MP scale figures.
I have the G2 battle damaged repaint and, even after 3 years, this still holds up. Aside from the paint making the connections too tight (not *that* tight) and separating Hook and Long Haul from torso mode (I’m really surprised your version came apart easily), I had no issues even when I first bought the figure. There were no problems with the individual bots and none for the combine mode. I even posed the superhero landing and a high kick just now, which weirdly worked on one angle of my table (makes for a sick pic, though!). Even disassembling him wasn’t as bad your copy, aside from how tight the completed torso was. But even then, I did not resort to extreme measures. Just DX9’s parts separator and a flat head for only the chest piece. Still holds like a champ. I don’t know what the state of the reissues are, whether some people got bad copies or ToyWorld resorted to cheaper plastic and too much paint, but this was considered the best MP scaled Devastator in the early releases, and it still is. Even the individual bots still look better than Zeta’s Combaticons and Aerial Bots, and that company was the same designers for Constructor originally. Considering I had the oversized version of Gravity Builder prior, this was a big improvement, especially the parts forming. I know you don’t like parts forming to much (I watched one of your videos on that), but I do see it necessary for combiners. The proportions are right and it has proven to be quite stable. I don’t see the bots themselves even hindering the parts forming with this figure at all, as you said. In the end, I still consider this as the best MP Scaled Devastator. I don’t know what XTransbots’s version will be like or what VectronLabs will have, but this mold is still the best so far. Maybe not the recent rereleases like the cell shaded version, but certainly the original run.
I've had people from all across the spectrum tell me different things about this, people who got the first version, to the 5th to now, I think QC is just WILDLY inconsistent with this set. I have now reviewed all but 1 of these figures for the channel, and most of them have broken in some catastrophic way now, so the plastic is even worse than I thought. I do agree that the Zeta Figures are WAY uglier. But personally me. I'm hoping for an MMC version.
@@PerspectiveEnd Definitely gotta be inconsistent QC. Fun fact: The Zeta bots, and the bots for Constructor, are the toys. By design, that is. It’s actually why the Zeta bots aren’t toon accurate. Their actually toy accurate. I didn’t notice with the Aerialbots because I never owned the toys, but I have the G1 Combaticon set (or G2, they were kinda an in-between). The way Zeta’s Combaticons look and how they transformed is very similar to the toys. Granted, they got kibble, but it was something that I found pretty neat. An MMC Devastator would be interesting. Would like to see how that turns out.
It wasn't my idea, I noticed several people in my community doing the same thing, so I realized I could use it to make a review space big enough to house these beasts. And yeah, I'd advise almost anything else over this guy.

Thank you! I totally agree that parts forming defeats the purpose of combining. I am all about good engineering. I was a bit excited for zeta because I was interested in how they were going to make the torso and everything only to find that silver bolt was just folded up and shoved into a shell. Some of these combiners, ahem menasor, look like the robots are mere decorations for the combined figure.
Yeah, I get that Meansor isn't ever going to be anything other than a partsformer it's basically impossible for him not to be. If you want the Best Combiner of all time the MMC Assauluts is that. No partsforming.

Pretty much yeah. I don't pay much thought to Meansor. His design basically requires partsforming, but I just don't care about him the MOST out of basically anyone from G1. I've thought of a few ways you could maybe do it where there's a VERY think skeleton hidden inside motor Mastor, and the cars could form boxes under them, but really his design is terrible and not conducive to anything other than partsformign. I mean he was just a man with cars for shoulder pads and shin guards. There's basically nothing you can do with that.

I'd say a huge amount of what ruins this figure is the paint job. It's still more brittle than I think it should be, but I assume that was exacerbated by the paint putting excess strain on the parts, and maybe having worked it's way into the hip assembly. Even if that were true though, combination would still be Anti-Fun, and poseability would still be only about as good as a War For Cybertron figure. I don't get how people can Criticize the MMC Assaultus, when that thing poses better than many masterpiece figures.

@@PerspectiveEnd Freedom leader has some parts that simply come off too easily, as well as subpar hands. The transformation is also poorly thought through, as in, most things get in the way of one another. Their TM BW Megatron is simply very floppy. Knight Orion is simply overly complicated, as in, it could very well hold that title.
Really other people are Daring to Criticize this figure? I've not seen this before. As far as I've seen people suck this guy off along with any offering by Zeta because they designed this.
Damn thats really unfortunate maybe you got a trash one but I own dx9 menasor zeta superion and this devatator and they look absolutely gorgeous and no problems and I think the parts forming looks great with out it it would look wonky imo
I've had probably like 7 people contact me at this point telling me they had the same issues and they had versions of the figure from all over the years so I can say it's got a pretty consistent track record for breakages.
I’ve always been confused when you said parts-forming in combines are bad Do you mean the hands,legs,and head parts forming or the actual combing aspect of the combiners
Combining is an Amazing gimmick. What i'm saying is that any amount of separate partsforming pieces are always going to be a negative, but at times it will be excusable, Like on the CW style figures, just no way they could have engineered a hand and a foot into those at that size and price, better to have them be separate pieces. Though it's still annoying to have to deal with. But then there's guys like this where the entire waist, thighs, knees, Elbows, fore arms, and head are all separate partsforming pieces, and that's where it really stops being fun.
@@PerspectiveEnd To be fair...there's absolutely no way to do this figure without parts forming. Something is going to have to suffer to include the bits needed to form the parts forming pieces. Either the alt mode needs to be increased in size to accommodate the leg and pieces, or the combined mode is going to be pretty anemic without the necessary plastic needed to build up the size. Comparing the MMC Bruticus with the Zeta, Legends scale figures haven't figured it out, either. The New Age and Magic Square Devastators look more G1 but they still need the parts forming pieces. The Ocular Max Bruticus that integrates all combiner parts in their figures is a feat of engineering....but it doesn't look or function well when combined. Unstable, back heavy, and not even close to the MP scale that other brands are doing. Making it to scale would mean that the individual bots and/or alt mode will be oversized. And those modes, funny enough, work well in an MP display at their size for the most part. Their Protectobots/Defensor is looking to be the same way, too.
In my opinion, the best combiner out there is easily the Oversized Jinbao Devastator. It's able to combine with minimal partsforming with only the arms being added, it's got an amazing price point, it's not meant to look like G1 Devastator that much but it can with the upgrade kit (more partsforming but unlike this abomination it works well) the figure is well built and the tolerances are mostly good, and it's stable as hell especially with the upgrade kit. If you want a stylized take on Devastator that is unique with minimal partsforming, it has it. If you want a G1 accurate Devastator, it has it. If you want a budget option for Devastator that is still close to MP scale and one of the biggest out there, it has it. Seriously hope you review it someday.
I would argue that the best combiner so far has been the MMC Bruticus. The Individual robot modes are all spot on and have great articulation. There's not a Bad Transformation in the Bunch, all of the altmodes are literally perfect, and they combine into a GREAT Bruticus with no partsforming whatsoever.
I feel like it might be the plastic they used for the cell shaded paint that could’ve made the plastic as brittle and shite as it is, since I have the siege Cell shaded prime, and the plastic feels off compared to the earthrise prime I have Though that’s just a theory
I don't think it's that. I think the plastic was brittle in the first place and all the paint put extra strain on it. I didn't mention it in the video but there was paint all over the mushroom peg that snapped off of long haul.
Yeah, his right arm was out for stability, with his hand open like you see in a lot of the video, and I went to pick him up. Just yet another reason to hate this figure.
I'd rather spend the Combiner Wars or Unite Warriors Devastator (most likely) than this, if it's on a good price. Btw what version of the ToyWorld Constructor is this consider the texture and the color of the figure looking cartoony?

Mine broke multiple times on the first day, and kept breaking over weeks, and cant hold together worth a damn, and even when I could move the legs for the 5 minutes that was possible, it swayed like it was constantly going through an Earthquake.
@@PerspectiveEnd I originally bought the Yellow weathered one and it was incredible. I wanted a green one so I bought one, sold it the green one to make room for the green weathered one. The Green weathered one I had an issue with the shoulder joints being too tight, but I mailed them in for a repair at no charge. Right now my green weathered one is wielding MP-29 Shockwave, and stands fine with him.
@@danielturner7015 Since I made this video several people have come to me with all manner of Constructors, and they tell me that theirs broke too. I'd say at least 5 different people have informed me of breakages with this figure. Be careful with yours I guess is the moral of what I'm saying.
@@PerspectiveEnd I believe you, the Quality could be going down on top of that they just layer paint on, existing paint. The Yellow weathered ones paint job is a lot better than my green one. You can tell it was properly primed. I'm not lying as this earned it's reputation as the best combiner, he can balance on one leg, hold up masterpiece figures. The quality might be taking a dive, my latest one had issues my two older models didn't.
Yeah...I remember being told to avoid it as the Toyworld Constructor molds would've definitely suffered mold degradation by the time I had the chance to get a set (the much nicer looking G2 color set). Pretty sure that anything after the initial release is straight up ass. I was pretty good with the Cool Become Brave downsized KO of Combiner Wars Devastator until one of the pegs that connects Bonecrusher snapped off in a crazy way that looks like Devy got his arm chopped off...and I took a picture of LGEX God Ginrai in a pose (that was a bitch to setup) to look like he chopped it off. Now I have the Jinbao oversized KO of Gravity Builder coming in soon...so now my MP Decepticons are gonna have some serious reinforcements. Even more so once that Jinbao oversized KO of Feral Rex comes in as well. 😏😏😏😏😏
Just saw this video now, sad to say that toyworld is having QC issues, some of my tw optimus prime haved the same issues. Speaking of devastator im glad i have Jinbao dev, much cheaper and it has upgrades which fixed stability issues, and it is as tall as TW devi now.
Man. That's the best outcome I can think of. This thing isn't fun. Even if my breakage and tolerance issues were solved it still wouldn't be fun. Poseability is basically equal to a Siege figure, and combination is trash, plus it barely holds together. The MMC it tons of fun in every mode and step, and it poses better than most Masterpiece figures.
Do you think it's the toon colored paint that they used that's messing with the plastic? A lot of other reviews have the normal version. No clue bro, if it's actually this bad, that's terrible. I cheaped out and bought the Jinbao Devastator. It's actually pretty good.
I've seen a TON of people come in since I made this video and had them share there stories of breakages with me on even the normal versions. I think the paint is making mine more PRONE to breaking, but it' was already more fragile than it had any business being.

I think the paint job is a lot of what's wrong with the figure. I think the normal version is probably on the ragged edge of breaking, and the paint just throws it over.
I thought 4 sure I had heard better reviews of the heavily painted and weathered ones that they were a bit sturdier and better quality but it seems I am wrong. I have the toyworld constructor twc07p (metallic version) and thank goodness the only thing wrong was Scavenger's combiner post sticking. BOTTOM LINE- These (6) constructicons should be PERFECT! FLAWLESS! Especially for one that c7
I waa saying that there is NO EXCUSE why this set of figures is not absolute perfection- it's unacceptable! They've reissued this like over a dozen times and there's no reason glitches here and there can't be perfected. He IS impressive as a model to LOOK AT, but extremely frustrating and infuriating when you just spent a MINIMUM of $500 + PLUS and it literally falls apart in your hand. I feel you man
Thank you very much, yeah, it's just... Devastating... but for real it's such a disappointment. Like the Hype was real, made all the more intense by the fact that I bought him the week before the Corona Virus Lock Downs, and the store dragged their feet shipping him so the day they took him to the Depot the whole world stopped shipping things, and I had to wait over 5 months to receive him. Only to have him start breaking almost the second I get all the parts out of the box.
@@PerspectiveEnd TFC's liokiser is pretty good but still a little wobbly, and MMC's predaking is "ok". All the maketoys, fansproject and official (the four junkions and inferno) I have will topple with the wind and won't hold thier own weight to pose. I gave up on combiners altogether. There's still some I want, but as you mentioned, third party are pricey. By the time I have the money they're sold out.
You know seeing that hammer next to the big boi kinda looks temping to try more durability tests I know it's a rubber hammer but I mean c'mon big boi broke with a breath, hammer is basically the torpedo to his death star

The treads are hard plastic or metal if you swap them out, and the way the feet work is the are actually on brackets outside the body of the tread. Kind of like how two links of a chain connect, only one of the links is solid so there is friction holding the other in place. Why do you imagine this?

Unfortunately I have now reviewed 5 of his separate components. And in 4 of the video's he's broken more. So this thing is basically in shambles now. Not even from rough handling. Like Longhauls head snapped off because I dared to rotate it.
While I can accept the major partsforming on menasaur cause you still transform it and it is useful for vehicle mode and can serve as a generic box to pose your figures around. Man combiners have fallen, like yeah adding the first and head is bordersome but I can expect this but now most combiners are mostly partsforming piece with the actual members serving as bricks to hold them together, not the partsforming improving an existing figure
I have heard of nightmares involving Toyworld products like Arcee and Bumblebee Optimus. This pretty much concludes that every thing toyworld makes either sucks, or is guaranteed to break. I own Toyworld Fort Max, and decide to sell him after hearing this much issues associated with the brand. The brand and quality control is very important. With Fantoys, I associate the brand to overprice, but at least solid to handle. With Toyworld, I associate the brand to garbage.
The loose joints and fiddly bits of this combiner reminds me of my most expensive set of figures. The studio series Constructicons. 2 deluxes ($25/figure) + 4 voyagers ($35/figure) + 2 leaders ($50/figure) = $290. Oh and an additional voyager cuz I first bought Rampage and then learned Skipjack was coming out so I had to buy him too in order to have the left leg be the correct color. So $325 in total. I didn't buy the complete box set, but I bought the figures individually over time as they were released so that helped a bit with the price, but overall it's still a lot of fucking money for a brick that is way too heavy for the joints to hold any pose other than straight upright when standing on two legs. To make matters worse, he doesn't have shoulder articulation, knee articulation, head articulation, or wrist articulation (the wrists are slightly forgivable tho). Now if I want to make him a little more screen accurate by putting him on all fours, holy shit, it is a genuine fight for survival. The weight of the figure, the loose joints, the disproportioned arms, and the lack of necessary joints just makes him a fiddly mess until you finally get him balanced. But even if you do get him balanced, that doesn't mean he'll look good and that's just made even worse by the fact that any slight touch will make him collapse. The last time I transformed the team into combined mode, it took me almost an hour to get the right pose on all fours and balanced in a way where he wouldn't collapse from the vibrations of the floor from walking past the shelf. Is it worth the money? No, the box set not at all worth that absurd price. However, if you buy the figures individually over time like I did, then maybe idk? I'm not too sure because as an actual figure this Devastator sucks, but I think the reason it doesn't bother me too much is because I'm a little biased as a result of one of my childhood dreams was to own a figure of the RoTF version of Devastator. Now that I'm adult with adult money, I was able to satisfy that childhood dream and I'm currently saving up to buy myself a good version of G1 Devastator. TLDR: A fuck ton of money for a not-so great Devastator figure, just like the one in this review.
Well let me just say, this was 3 times as expensive as that. Like literally 3 times that expensive. So a whole SHIT Fuck ton of money. I'm glad you are not having to suffer the unbridled depths of my wallets pain.
I bought the weathered version and had all the same problems. From what I can tell, the unpainted versions of the figure don't have nearly as many problems, bit I'm not entirely sure if I want to get it because of these issues.
I have had fans who bought the Unpainted version also say that they've had similar problems. The worst culprit does seem to be the Painted version, but it seems that no version of this is made as resilient as it should be. I think they just used crap plastic and the extra friction from the paint just exacerbates that.
the saddest part of this review is that if it weren't for bad timing your experience would probably have been a bit more in line with the other reviews of this thing from what i hear the first run of constructor had far FAR better materials and as a result everyone praised it because it looked really pretty and the partsforming wasn't heinous enough to distract people from that then it sold out and they did a second run and idk if they changed factories or whatever but the materials on that reissue were so much worse it's insane so now the tfw2005 thread on it is just nothing but pictures of the damn thing breaking and their post constructor output has the same set of problems (freedom leader especially) when NONE of their pre constructor lineup was made out of this terrible plastic
Man when did I mention how insanely tight those are? Anyways considering those can move and these can't I'd say these. Though on the joints that do move, Grimlock does have tighter knees than anything on this guy.
I'd think they'd at least care about Poseability? They want to at least have it standing cool. Or what about stability, the thing they all claim it has, when it sways like it's perpetually going through an Earthquake.

What distributor did you go with? Cause you definitely got one that had a speed run qc check. They didn’t let you return it? The beauty in these upcoming menasaurs is that you can have a menasaur and still display your motormaster and leg bots somewhere else, that’s how I see. Hopefully fanstoys does this. Skylynx was reviewed in the 666 Subscriber special, and while he barely fits in my light box he does fit. And I mean I contacted the manufacturer, and they said they were sending replacement parts 7 months ago.
PerspectiveEnd so it seems you’re stuck with this guy right? At this point what if you just completely take him apart, take paint thinner and a knife to get rid of some paint and then lube him up with this amazing stuff I use called 30 weight silicone shock oil. My omega from DX9 had ratchets so powerful that they actually broke a couple, so I want to seek knowledge from wise master bobbyskullface on how to fix it and he told me to seek wisdom from T2RX6. His wisdom helped fix many other figures overly tight joints and such.
@@alc4528 Yeah, I'm not about to sell this lemon to other people. I tried to fix the hip assembly my self but wouldn't you know it one of the screws holding it together was a bitch to get at and I ended up stripping it to hell and back so now I can't get the screw out. My only hope is that Toyworld sends out the new set of Combiner pants they promised me 7 months ago. Outside that I did cut off a lot of pegs, and clean up the others, It helps a little but not a ton. I'll try oil at some point I'm sure. But at the moment I don't even like touching this thing. When the anger fades I will get back to it.
I think there are people who also just have their heads that Far up their Asses about Partsforming. They've tied it being a good thing to a part of their personality so they just can't fathom how something that uses it, isn't the best looking most solid thing of all time.

Then I started collecting Marvel and DC figures about 9 years ago, and the yt algorithm always hit me up with reviewers that collect stuff I have nostalgia for but didn't want to collect. I've been staring at transformers toys for YEARS, but not buying until the '86 studio releases recently hit my LCS shelf, and I searched for reviews. Your channel was the only entertaining (and critically relevant) dedicated transformers channel I watched. So here we are. I was like "he obviously loves this stuff, so maybe I can again too" lol. Are you going to Fraternicon the '86 movie? I recently rewatched with my younger brother and there's a ton to riff on there, no matter how "sacred" it is to ppl lol

Not opposed to it though. I'm glad so many people Like what I do. Too many reviewers are too dry, and others are too silly to take their criticisms seriously, and yet others treat every video like they are making Tolkin Movies, and they drag them out to 40 minutes or more. I try not to waste your time, and just be my self, while respecting what I know people don't care about, and just covering those parts as little as possible.

Damn that was unexpected I’ve heard nothing but good things for this set and I thank you for enlightening everyone to it’s horrible nature I really hope to get the tfc hercules one day (it fits in combiner wars scale it poses good etc) but after this video I’m worried to take reviewers word for stuff now I would love to see you review it but it’s quite expensive so I can’t ask that of you
i'd probably recommend the jinbao devastator doesn't really scale with cw combiners but it's the same price (if not cheaper) than hercules and you get a far better engineered figure that's far bigger and has better materials as for the reason why other reviewers liked this thing more than perspective it's probably a matter of materials the first run of constructor was actually pretty solidly built but after everyone reviewed it and it sold out they did a reissue that was FAR worse so now the tfw boards are filled with pictures of this thing falling apart unfortunate eh

@@Leumas-edits apologies for being late to the reply but if you want a good cw scale devastator i'd argue maketoys giant works better than hercules since hercules would be a few inches too tall for that plus it's way cheaper on ebay if you're into that
@@gmdexcillion3521 yeah I get that but to me the make toys giant just looks a bit weird and not my taste in design On the other hand tfc Hercules imo looks a lot cooler (also to me a few inches too tall isn’t too bad to me I just don’t want things like cw devastator towering over the other combiners) and also tfc Hercules is a lot more like my favourite aesthetic of the transformers which is idw mainly because the treads become his lower arms Also I’ve pretty much decided I’ll probably wait for the hasbro one (only if it will be cw scale)
