You can also buy a kit from Harbour Freight for $125 instead of 3 or 4 hundred dollars and it is not the same thing that you have but it worked for me and also if you want to and I did, you can do the wheel bearing with the control arm attached to the car if you don't have access to a press and you won't have to wrestle with it

30:05 Toyota Lock Nut Socket SST: 09318-12010 Torque: 275 N·m {2,804 kgf·cm, 203ft·lbf} but in the real world don't use a 1/2 - Impact Wrenches the pin of the lock nut are easy to break off

Air chisel between the spindle and the race after some heat it will pop right off . just a tip been there a lot

I was thinking the same thing… although the first few times I had to replace press in wheel bearings I ended up doing a similar job as this guy did. I still appreciate him making the video because all of the other videos are for 4x4 tacomas and I was looking for something that showed exactly which little bits and pieces I would need other than the bearing. I have a harbor freight shop press and a box of press accessories so I will be doing it the old fashioned way rather than with an impact. Not good to use the impact to install the bearings, removing is fine but install not so good.

Lord have mercy…how many special tools does it take? Don’t they make and sell the entire wheel bearing hub assembly for a 2003 toyota tacoma prerunner

They do, but it’s a hunk of junk peddled by federal mogul…. You can buy a brand new knuckle, bearing, hub, and associated seals/snapring/spacer from Toyota but it will run you about $800. It is very easy to put together with all brand new parts though!
