any info on the car build? I'm doing a 2gr swap in a mr-2 spyder. cams? stock block? I have billet high lift/duration cams, eb60 transmission, custom helical lsd.
Some of the guys with mr2 2gr swapped cars are using the stock 5 speed transmissions. From the non turbo I believe. Being a transverse setup, i'm sure the mr2 transmissions are similar to the 5 speed transmissions offered in corollas.
An S54 (N/A SW20 and others trans), E351(2000's Camry and others trans), and E153(MR2 Turbo, late 90s Camry/Solara etc.) all bolt up to the 2GR. That's in list of power capability. For drag racing the S54 would be on borrowed time. The E153 can do 700+ whp but is heavy and doesn't shift quickly as a result.
