The illustration of the Civic shows the 10G Coupe, which is not available outside North America, and was never made with the 1.8 engine. It came with either a 2.0NA, or a 1.5T, the latter of which is limited at 235km/h.
I think the Civic illustration shown in the video, exact trim and mode, would perform much better than the one doing the 0-200 kmh... I don't think they're the same Civic
As a civic driver, something is wrong You are not using the top model because they have red speedometer And i prefer using sport manual That will effect the result dramatically
The Elantra is an elegant vehicle, amazing handling. It may not be the fastest on the list, but I'm in awe of that economy car, a close friend of mine had one and it handled beautifully taking sharp turn @60+mph. For what it is it's an awesome car!
They have very similar horsepowers and torques. All other 3 reached 200 km around 50-55 seconds and Toyota 33 ??? No wayyy it’s impossible to have 20seconds difference no matter which transmission you use.
@@huseyinkaya658 In Pakistan we get either 1.6 corolla with a 4 speed auto limited to 176KMH (near 180 on speedo) or 1.8 dual vvti (not valvematic) corolla with cvt limited to 197KMH (200 on meter) One thing I can vouch for is 100-200KMH acceleration on 1.8 CVT (138HP) is very linear specially 140-180 acceleration time is about the same as 100-140, then the acceleration is a bit slower to 197. But it locks that speed fast enough that it's clear if not restricted by ECU, it can easily do 215-220KM/H And yes it has a bit faster acceleration than civic 1.8 (141hp) cvt sedan here but civic doesn't have restricted top speed.
The cvt in a rogue is actually quite nice. At least I think so. 2020 rogue drove amazing and shifted so nice haha. At least for me personally, I really enjoyed it.
@@mikejvevo3153 because its unnecessary 🙄speedometer and tachometer dont need to be digital, fuel gauge should be digital but not with bars but actual volume of fuel in the tank😂just feels like digital is a cost cutting, its not even an upgrade from previous
Just love how people always worship 0-100km/h... They can even turn down a perfect car for them, if competitors car has 1(!) second better acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h. :)
Seems the toyota's automatic transmission has shorten gearbox ratio or the fastest gearbox mode is more aggressive. At each ratio the engine speed come back to 5000rpm. It is 4500rpm on other models...
@@godgirlsguitars only affects cars in extreme cold climate. I live in Canada. My Honda service guy has yet to see one CIVIC with that problem. And only heard of one CRV with that issue siice it came up. Hyundai just settled an almost $1BILLION settlement* about engine fires in their 2.0L & 2.4L engines...one of which WAS tested here. Honda has mitigated that problem with software and hardware changes. Hyundai has mitigated their engine problems with money. *topclassactions.com/lawsuit-settlements/consumer-products/auto-news/hyundai-piston-engine-settlement-provides-extended-warranties-reimbursement-for-consumers/
Interesting, but are all of these last gen models? The Toyota Corolla and Mazda 3 were all new for the 2019 model year, at least here in the states, and the Civic is all new as of a month ago...but not when this was filmed.
No idea what they are doing with the Civic because my 10th Gen Civic Touring with the 1.5T and CVT will mimic shifts like the Corolla was doing and it’s actually quick about it too. The CVT is not a performance transmission but you can play around with the sport mode and paddle shifters and it will take down quite a few V6 cars.
If you are taking down any V6 cars in a 1.5 civic, they are either older generation vehicles, not racing, or timid drivers. Current generation V6 cars are doing 0-60 (mph) times in the 5 second range.
@@muneebrehman6288 nope honda have less hp bcoz of 1.8 I bet honda 2.0 beat all of them and everybody knows In foreign country Civic is very far better than Corolla . Corolla is for all people grandmother car 😂
@@muneebrehman6288 u know what 😂😂 Corolla is taxi in many countries Corolla only popular in pakistan bcoz of mafia u don't know much about Civics bcoz u don't see foreign video Civic is use by many popular youtubers and street racer😘we also have type r varient type r is very better than camry
Fake news, the civic you guys show in the photo is not the civic you tested. The civic in the photo is an Si with a 205 hp turbo engine, while the engine you tested is the NA civic. Night and day comparison
@@tutigseg 1.5 is not sport, in restyling of 10 generation is base engine. Sport it's 2.0 . I don't know where they found the 1.8 engine in 10 generation
@@danilorlovskiy9299 I know some cars have multiple engine options but still like I mentioned he is comparing the base engines not the higher trim levels
Honestly I couldn’t believe a Hyundai Elantra actually made it at top speed without problems very impressive, Toyota Corolla seemed like it took its time it didn’t get up and go as quick, Mazda 3 on the other hand definitely super fast and zippy, I’m definitely impressed, and Honda Civic definitely blew the Toyota Corolla out of the water and tied up with the Hyundai and Mazda on the speed. 😁
@@vincentignacio8878 what a fucken stupid thing to say, my Honda has 1200hp you idiot. A shitbox yaris wouldn't beat a stock Honda, man some people talk shit..
He didn't use the paddle shifter😅. On a mazda used fully automatic for economy. For performance switch it into sport mode, put into manual and the paddle shifter or the selector lever to shift as fast as you can.
@@opgamerztamil7741 it is not about acceleration as it is not even timed and the "title" of the video - "Top Speed Comparison" .....- so no the Elantra won
@awaters0206 it may be in the video but it is not what the video is primarily about as the actual "Title" of the video enlightens you to what it is truly about - which is - "Top Speed Comparison" - you are actually telling me that the video is about something else than what the video maker themselves labeled it under - wow lol - sure it shows a few things but it is not the subject of the video - it's like this video is about apes eating bananas - and in part of they say ok this shows you which on eats the fastest - this is not string theory it is a video title and I think the guy that made it labeled it - the video for what he made it about if he tells me different I would tell him to change the title of the video - but - it is what it is and the title of it says it all - thank you and goodnight
First own it then experience it, Toyota provides flat range of torque, resulting same acceleration in every shift of gears. The technical Reason, non of this competitive cars can reach Toyota's speed o meter.
What the xxx Honda Civic with 1.8L,, where is the 1.5L Turbo? The 1.8L always been slow ... Proper ranking Honda Civic, Mazda3, Corolla, last is Elantra.
