My grandfather had a Chevrolet Trooper diesel in the 90s, it took more than 30s to get to 100kph. This Fortuner isn't bad, considering the low horsepower for its weight.
@@khalifasalem4956 well, both car was designed for totally different purpose. The smallest M104 engine capacity is 2.8l, it has many technologies, and high power output. It's a Mercedes sedan, and it was designed to be driven fast. Our Trooper is an SUV that was designed to be a reliable workhorse for people who live in rural areas with bad roads, steep hills, etc. As performance wasn't the priority, and it must be able to run on the worst diesel fuel users could find, Isuzu/Chevrolet decided to put a 2.2l OHV diesel motor (with 70ish hp maximum power). The car even couldn't reach 140km/h, but it indeed is extremely reliable. Cheers! 😁
