Lesley Auty yeah when wiring these in I made sure the power cables were wired direct to the battery and I used a relay which was turned on by the cigarette lighter (which came on only with ignition) which then supplied the heated seats with high current draw power - I used a 15 amp cable going from the battery to inside the car with a separate fuse where it was wired to the battery - the cigarette lighter wires built into the car were so thin so didn’t want to wire the heated seats straight onto these - hope that helps
