In this video, we look at how I have turned my stock exhaust system into, essentially, a "straightpiped" exhaust system with a very simple trick that can be performed on any car!
Bro thanks so much I watched ur video and worked on my TRD Sport markx which had everything except the sport sound And ur idea worked without spending anything. Love u bro keep it and keep giving us new ideas
Hey man! Nice car! Just bought exactly the same one. Looks almost identical to your setup too. Not sure if the previous owner did the exhaust like yours though. Gunna pick it up in a few days, so I’ll have a look. If it hasnt been done then I think I’ll try what you’ve done here. Sounds good! Thanks for the video!
Did it work? Just bought one too picking it up next week and i wanted to know if it’s safe to even do it I don’t want it to melt my tires or anything else
Love your attitude man, honestly I have the same setup and it sounds amazing specially when you Downshift it. Btw love your build, and can I ask what coilovers setup are you running?
The pops and crackles when you downshift put a smile on my face every time! Cheers! I have Tanabe Sustec Pro Z1 coilovers with Pro210 springs! Nothing crazy but makes the car sit nice.. the front end is raised so it sits perfectly on top of the bumper blocks! Although I had an unfortunate encounter with one and cracked the front lip in half -_- ....
@@HB-Drifts ahhhhh depends on your suspension really and tyres... My suspension is stiff as hell but I have good tyres so it's pretty good on a regular bumpy road! I'd say stock everything is pretty good too as it was designed to be a luxury class car! As long as you're not driving over potholes every 2 seconds, I think you'll be fine hahaha
@Fort Zero shout out from New Zealand love the car bro! I have one myself as well, your car sounds amazing and the way you made it sound like that it awesome how did you do that bro you should make a video on it too 👌🏽
AYYYYYE!!! Im from NZ too! Chur! When i get close to the bi-yearly inspection, I have to change EVERYTHING back to stock so on that day, I will be filming EVERYTHING!!! Haha
very nice keep on coming with mark x content .it just sounds like GTR. i needed its electronic shocks and bumper kits .. from where they are available in japan ?
Mine came with coilovers on em so I have no idea about the electronic shocks.. Also, it does sound a bit like a Gtr! I never noticed! Thanks for that 😂 The body kits are normally available in some random shops here but there are online shops too! Try the online UPGARAGE website! It's all in Japanese though 😅
Hello Friend! Stumbled upon your channel by accident already subscribed! You have a good Mark X! I also have a 130 restyled in black in 2007! Have you had any problems with it on the transmission or on the steering rack ?! I can't solve the problem, I have difficulty turning the steering wheel and the dynamics are gone, tell me where to dig? 🙏
Hey bro do u think a dark blue mark x with 19inch rims 5 spokes mat black and blue fog lamp would look nice? And great video u need to start posting more really liked these two and I like what u did to the front grill the mat black really look nice with the chrome around it
Thank you! I will start posting more now that the weather has cooled down a bit.. It was waaaaaay too hot to make any videos inside or outside of the car hence the delay hahaha Anyways, to answer your question, yeah i think a dark blue mark x with 19" rims would look good! You gotta make sure the tyres are low profile though.. Blue fog lamp as in the ones housed in the main headlight unit or seperate fogs on the bottom end of the bumper?
As long as you don't make the gap too wide, you'll be good to go! When i first did it, the gap between my disconnected pipes was pretty wide so it was obnoxiously loud.. Now, ive got about 3 washers and two rubber washers on each bolt and it sounds perfect! Not too loud but when you put your foot down, it comes to life!
Naa i just undid the bolts holding the flanges together after the catalytic converter and put some washers inbetween so the gap wouldnt close! It's the cheaper D.I.Y. version hahaha although i wouldnt recommend it if you plan on driving through big puddles during crazy rain storms.. rust central hahaha Yeah I can make a video! But in the mean time, check out this one! This is where i got the idea from! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uCDq9ts3p9w.html
It's not bad on rainy days it's the same as any other car.. depends on what tires you have but the car does have a bit of power so it is probably more prone to slipping around than something with a smaller engine!
Did you do the same on both sides of the flange? Did you jack it up or did you just squeeze under there some how? Any problems or safety doing this that you know of? Sounds bloody nice alright. Chur from NZ 🤙
Good question! I did the same on both sides of the flange! Also, my mark x was lowered so I had to jack it up.. but if your car is sitting at stock height, you should have no problem getting under there without jacking it up! You might be limited for hand space though especially if it's your first time un-doing that flange because the bolts will be very tight... Good luck is all I can say XD Had no problems in general or safety wise so far.. only real problem I had was that at high revs the exhaust smelled like a rat's backside after I came to a complete stop... XD
Just find the flanges after the catalytic converter, disconnect them, and then stick something inbetween the two sides before you bolt it back up and you're good to go!
I've never used one to be honest but it was all we had in when I was living in Australia so i guess they do the part?? If we're talking about a pod filter, any brand pod would sound good as it won't be as restricting as the OEM filter!
