Great video! As someone who's never done a brake job before, where does bleeding the brake lines come into play? Is that necessary here, when doing what you did? Top tier ZZW30 tutorials. Your videos have been amazing, so thank you so much.
Love the MR2 content. Thank you so much for your tutorials ! Have you thought about doing something agains Rust? Mine is Rusty too but definitely not that much. I use a Rust converter and then paint the parts where I can do it.
I have a 1999 Toyota MRS. did you happen to make a video of replacing the rear discs? I’m sorry I’m not a mechanic but your video gives me hope to do this task.
Yes ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-c5zG1Iho9rI.html Also there are two other videos for rear caliper replacement and hand brake clevis pin removal
Hi, silly question but I've just been browsing euro car parts and I've just ordered pads and discs for mine but forgot the pad accessories and clips. The only "compatible" ones apparently are Pagid kits but I just bought Brembo pads. Are accessory kits specific to the pad manufacturer? Or the caliper? Or the car model? Will this Pagid kit fit on my Brembo pads?
The complete workshop e-manual with all torque settings is available online. I can't remember the link but you'll find it easily if you Google it. You'll have to pay a few quid, but it's worth it for peace of mind. You'll pay more for a couple of bolts alone from Toyota.
@@standandeliver8376 thanks ! I think I have the documents you mean. I paid 10 dollars for it on e-bay. But I was looking for something like pages from the Toyota workshop manual. That's about 220€ on e Bay but it may be a good investment Anyways.
@@standandeliver8376 You mean the OEM workshop manual ? I definitely can't find it out for less than 200$ (on ebay and if I am lucky enough). I was only able to find the "repair manual" which provide a lot of information about the wehicle maintenance but is yet very incomplete.
@@bibana06 I've just checked out the details. You can find it here: www.emanualonline.com/cars/toyota/mr2.htm. Mine is the top one on the list "Toyota MR2 Mk3 Workshop Manual". To be fair, it doesn't say that it is produced by Toyota, but it looks like it could be to me. The actual instructions are quite vague in places and some of the diagrams could be clearer, but it includes all torque values with each process, exploded diagrams, part numbers and special tool part numbers (referenced at the required stages). When I went to the Toyota dealership to buy some (very overpriced) parts, the exploded diagram I was shown on screen looked very familiar.
Tbh mate, the 1ZZ is horribly underpowered and by the time you correct that you could have spent less on a better car. If you want a purpose built convertible roadster that has more power , consider a BMW Z4
