I came across your channel after buying mine here in the US. Glad to see you’re still making videos, especially about the roof because mine is currently held together with zip ties 😂

heck youve overdone the copper grease only a smearing dont put too much on, to be honest silicone or ceramic grease, but either way way too much grease there. why....Brakes, & Grease!!!!! also please wear some appropiate footwear, I can only count to 9.5 with my toes now!!! but other wise good video if its your first time, with mr2s the rear calipers are, akin to Alf Romeo ownership!!! ive ownd 2 over the last 20 years or so, not a nut & bolt ive not undone!!! 🙂 oh top marks re pointing out the peg/dowel on the inward pad & lining up with the piston slot :-)
Great video. I wanted a good set of speakers that would be better than the 22 year old ones. They sound ok considering the age, but these Pioneers look great and fit behind existing grills keeping car looking original. I would also recommend putting some sound deadening behind the speaker and around this area. Not only does this make audio sound better it makes door sound much nicer when closing.
It is easier to enter the drain pocket from the outside. Just hold the softtop half open and reach down the outside. It is easy to look down there also.
That poor car is a such a mess 😳 shotty electrical work and wires everywhere. The poor car will end up on fire from the bad electrical work, or at an auction because no one will want it in such terrible shape 😳😳
Hi, thanks for the video... Was helpful. But did you have any problems with two of the bolts being way to short? I noticed that the housing seems to be thinker than the original one so the bolts aren't long enough. Also my one came to a flat paper gasket not a rubber ring.
Looks like your new manifold will crack in a month or so. If you don't brace the lower end to the engine like the stock one, the flexing it goes through will crack the thin stainless steel fairly quickly. The header you bought doesn't look like it has any lower mount locations for those brackets.
@@andrewsparey697 That was what I was expecting, but I recently installed a Kenwood DMX5020DABS and it doesn't seem to have one. The hunt continues I suppouse.
@@Rethgore google for a wiring diagram for the model and see if it has one. Failing that there are work arounds . A remote wire is only a power wire at the end of the day. You should be able to connect it to a ignition live. Not a permanent live to the battery or the amp will stay on when your car’s ignition is off and drain your battery
@@andrewsparey697 Absolutely, eyeing the cigarette lighter atm but sent a few questions out, hoping for a more straight forward solution! Cheers for the quick replies btw, got any new MR2 videos coming up?
I’ll be worried about getting it super wet and hydro locking the engine… IF there’s a ton of water coming through the side vent .. but that can be remedied with a deflector added behind/inside the vent to divert the air/water around the filter but still allow air to enter the area..! AND get rid of the accordion style pipe it’s bad for flow
I just installed an aftermarket sibgle din stereo using the same dash kit that you did. I guess the gap between the bottom of the pocket and the top of the cup holder cover is supposed to be there???
I’ve heard it said quite a few times that these cone filters do absolutely nothing for power compared to the stock box.. _Just wondering your thoughts_
Every car is different… on some cars it doesn’t make a difference over a high flow panel filter like a K&N…. BUT on some cars there’s been dyno proof of a 10-20hp increase…. Just check the car you’re modding and worse case it’s a great sounding effect!
i just fitted this exact subwoofer on mine like 2 weeks ago, i prefered placing mine behind the drivers seat, powered from the cigarette lighter port. sub draws max 150w, so the 15a fuse on the lighter should be more than fine, also i fused the sub with a 10a fuse that never blew for now.
Thank you for this video! I’ll be doing my precat delete very soon and I think I will face the same battle as you did. Glad you made this video, it already helped me and gave me an idea of the tools I’ll need.
