Hey Rustic, great video but I have something to share with viewers; if you have the Toyota Sienna XLE or Limited trim it probably has the HID (High Intensity Discharge) lamps. I bought the BASIC Eagle Eye lamps from Parts Geek ($189 for both) and the bulb assembly did not match up. My mistake, 100% but wanted to share my lesson to make sure that people know this important difference. The housing and lens all fit, there's just some different wiring that won't work with the XLE/Limited model. Here's the kicker - when I looked on line to order the correct HID headlamp assembly it was $449...for ONE headlamp :) I will look to find another option here, like duct-taping a flashlight to my hood, but learn from my mistake 😵Your video, however, was spot on (and like another reviewer, to me about 60 minutes to do one side, and then re-install the original). Waiting for warmer weather to make the plastic bend more easily was another good tip. Thanks again and good luck!
Thank you, neighbor, for this detailed video. Just replaced left headlight assembly that a deer smashed. Had to bend a little bit of fender back more or less to its original position. I laughed when you said 10-20 minutes, but I got it done in a little over an hour, including the body work. Needed an extra set of hands to get the unit back in, but all the holes lined up. The trick was getting the inside end in first, then the outside. God bless you!
Thanks for the instructions. Just did this job after watching this video and another one where the guy took the whole bumper cover off. if you pop out both sides at the same time the bumper cover will fall forward giving you more room to work. Just make sure to put something under to support it so it doesn't buckle the cover. My assemblies came without bulbs. Just twist the sockets out and twist back into the new assembly. Make sure they are fully seated or your bulbs will shine the wrong way.
Thank you so much for posting this video! I just hit a Deer in my 2006 Sienna (348,000 miles). Crushed the Drivers side Headlight assembly. Ordered the replacement and will install this weekend. Thank you again for the video!!! (LOVE my Sienna motor - absolutely the best motor out there!)
Thank you for video, helped a lot. It's a little struggle getting new ones in, have to keep working it and see what's hitting, job completed in about 11/2 hrs
If i were a betting man, I would bet it's because it was cold as he mentioned. he may have had to jump-start it or slow crank, so im guessing he was letting it get good and warm as well as charging the battery.
I bought mine from 1A Auto and they sent me the same brand (Eagle Eyes) Made in Taiwan. Life time warranty. I didn't like the weak bulbs, I replaced the low beam with LED Lasfit brand.
