Practice makes perfect! Your still learning and that's part of the process! Mistakes happen to the best of us. Excited for you to enjoy the car when it's done
9:52 these shots really illustrate why your booth MUST have rows of vertical bar flouros wall mounted. Horizontal ceiling lights do not cut it for analysing peel/runs/coverage
8:00 this is more like an 80-90% overlap, that probably caused runs, but it happens. Not everyone can spray a test panel 1 hour ahead of the main hop to analyse the paint sag over time (you can also depth check the test panel with a gauge that would ruin a final panel)
Would you say it's more too much overlapping rather than arm speed. I didn't think overlapping that much was required. There was a lot of material put on. No expert myself and impressed to see how great of a job you have done. Colour is great.
1:14 errrr you mean the reason is to keep the colour consistent right? Most show painters would never paint panels and body in different batches. I know this isn't candy etc, but booth layout would allow 1 batch, overspray could be an issue with no downdraft/skill
So, why do you start at the bottom when painting? (Just more comfortable?) I was always told to go from top to bottom. That way if you see runs you can push them down and off. I'm just curious as to your.... method. Thanks for the video.👍🏼
