If you have the money spindles are the best way to lift a 2wd IMO. It’s keeps all the front geometry that the factory comes with. I’d personal go with CST spindles. Better welds and craftsmanship. Had some on a Tundra and they were great. Keeps stock comfort
Hey! Thanks for uploading this! I am looking at the exact same kit. Have you had any issues with it? Any shaking or loud noises? I am really concerned about highway speeds. Could you please get back to me and let me know what your experience is?
Very very nice looking truck! I just ordered those same wheels for my Gen 2 Tacoma TRD off-road! I think they will look good as well with a white truck!
Thanks! The paint is army green and it can also be had on the 4runner and tundra (not sure about this new tundra generation coming out). The price is going to vary, I got the lift kit from headstrong offroad and that's a set price. But a local shop did the install and that is going to vary shop to shop. Same with tire shops, when you shop in person there is some room for negotiation so experiences will vary!
How does brakes feel think of buying same lift was thinking of getting 17 inch rims butt -6 off set do you have to get -12 offset will -6 off set stick out less 17x8
Hey so I have a 2022 sports Tacoma 2wd, I really wanna make my truck a 4in lift. Do I need to buy the 3in lift and the Spinders? Or can I use my stock lift and just buy the spinders?
Hi Ryan, I’m going to post the link I used below. This is all I needed for the 4 inch lift you are seeing here. Up front it’s a spindle that adds the 4 inches and the brake line extension. In the rear it’s just blocks. Outside of that, it’s all stock suspension. www.headstrongoffroad.com/store/p207/Maxtrac_4%22_Lift_Kit_-_2WD_ONLY_-_%28K886842%29.html
That’s a great question, I have not! I haven’t felt the need to do either, I know this varies person to person for their preferences and needs. I feel like the performance is the same, but the mpg definitely dropped
Hey man I’m having some issues with my front in and I’ve just purchased the maxtrac 4” lift. I’m running 285/70/17 with 17x9 -12. Did you have any rubbing and what alignment specs did you use.
I have a little bit of rubbing but nothing major, mostly at full lock or when turning sharply onto an incline. I don’t know my alignment specs, if I can find the paperwork I’ll let ya know
Rides great man! A little more stiff than factory maybe, but it feels more planted and has less body roll on turns which seems ironic because the higher center of gravity. But, I do have a much wider track width because of the wheel offset and the spindles kicking out the front wheels an additional .75" on each side!
