Toyota TS010: the first Le Mans podium of Toyota 

So, back on June 21, 1992, after a whole day of non-stop rain during the race, Toyota managed to snag its first podium at Le Mans. They had five cars in the race - three of the new TS010 models, built to meet the new Group C rules, and two 92C-Vs that were racing under C2 class regulations.
The new TS010 was created by Tony Southgate, who used to work with Tom Walkinshaw Racing during the Jaguar era - we'll dig deeper into that in our upcoming videos! This car had a whole new design to accommodate the new V10 naturally aspirated engine, unlike the V8 turbocharged one found in the 92C-V. It was more aerodynamic and longer than its predecessor.
In this video, you get a glimpse of the #33 Casio Toyota TS010 driven by Masanori Sekiya, Pierre Henri Raphanel, and Kenny Acheson. The latter two had previously raced for Peugeot and Jaguar in 1991. This particular car clinched second place at the 1992 Le Mans race, marking Toyota's successful start on French soil. The car featured here is actually a conversion by TonyBarracuda and GTSupreme from an old rfactor mod . The track is based on Virtua_LM's Le Mans 1991 version and was converted to AC by Reboot, Terra21, and Jim Lloyd.
