I used to have a Magnaflow 14” on my 03 Tundra but i swapped it for a Flowmaster Original 40 series and mannn thats so much better. The flowmaster has a much better idle and sound under acceleration with very little drone. Resonator is still on the truck too
Magnaflow wins this one. That Touring is made to be quiet and refined, while the Magnaflow seems little louder. Different sound all together, better comparison would be something like the XR-1 from Borla in my opinion. 👍
I have that same green tundra! With a single magnaflow and resonator. But his light setup is the same as mine and I have the front tented windows lol it's like seeing my truck on RU-vid but mine is a 2005

I will be doing the Borla system for my 2002. It's a LOT quieter than I thought it would be... much to my liking... I like to hunt coyotes at night and when I pull up to a property... I like the fact of the coyote's ears not being able to use their ears for hearing my vehicle and/or my rifle's report... cause they are DRT when the projectile impacts them before they hear the sound that is reported from my rifle... lol
The Magnaflows do get louder after you put 500 or so miles on them. I had 2 , 14in rounds put on my 1965 f100 and they sound awesome after they broke in.
A muffler has no moving mechanical parts...none! The change in tone some experience comes from the ECM adjusting for the increased airflow. i.e reduced backpressure.
Probably had a exhaust manifold leak and that's probably why the guy said he was going to put headers on it. I had the same issue it's common on these 4.7s. I put jba longtubes on mine
Hello i just orderd Dynomax mini race bullets for my 2017 v6 challenger will it sound better with a catless downpipe or just he race bullets and the resonator delete also i have a cold air intake installed will that change the sound if it does change the sound i hope it makes it sound better i really like the dynomax mini race bullet sound but at higher RPMS im trying to make it sound more like a v8 At higher rpms
