You're right, through all the "Fortune Hunter" playings in the 28th season, not a single game of it was won, and the averaging win of this game was only 33%
@jarvisbrodiea1: i wonder that myself because the perfect bid bell, siren, and regular win bells are often used for big wins...i have several episodes taped with grand game and punch board that illustrate this...

I wonder how they could revamp Fortune Hunter to work with the modern era. They revamped Time is Money really well, and it's now a pretty successful pricing game.
They did...1/2 Off. Except you don't even have to eliminate the boxes yourself. Each time you choose which of the 2 prizes is half-off, you win the prizes and half the boxes are randomly eliminated.
Also, during that same episode, after contestant Jason Farned spun $11,000 in cash on the wheel, he then won a convertible in the showcase totalling his winnings to over $47,000. Big day that edition!
If they bring Fortune Hunter back for season 51, they can put as much as $200,000 in the treasure box on a rare occasion that the game takes place during BIG money week, but $50,000 and a new car for a normal playing would be too much. Hence why they retired that game, It's Optional, that always used to be played for TWO new cars. People were winning that game almost all the time and The Price Is Right was giving too much away during that era. There is, however, a $10,000 Grand Game that should now have a normal grand prize of at least $20,000, since they already had that $10,000 concept back in the day when they used to give away sub $6,000 cars before price inflation, not that the normal Grand Game prize should be $50,000 like this comment would suggest when comparing $10,000 vs sub $6,000 cars. Car prices were getting expensive, back in the day when the sub $6,000 cars were still there. Those sub $6,000 cars that were still there when the Grand Game was already there were the cheap models among new cars.
