The 2nd Generation Eljer Patriot toilet was offered from 1995 until 1999.
The original 1st Generation Patriot was introduced all the way back in Circa 1990 and it SUCKED! The 2nd Gen came along years later and it SUCKED just as much. In fact, the redesign lasted lessthan the OG 1st Gen, which was offered until 1996.
What went wrong with this design? EVERYTHING! Let's take a look at it.

The 3rd and the 4th generation of Eljer’s Patriot & Century bowls were a major comeback from these toilets.

The best thing about these toilets is their tank parts which are awesome aside from the steel tank bolts. They flush and perform like they should be urinals. I like the shape of the bowl but the trapway curves up so soon after the opening that it probably hurts the already abysmal performance. I've seen all of the standard height versions of these and they are complete junk. Also people intentionally break those plastic cups in the tanks so the toilet will function better.

Had this ADA terlit in my apt 2002-2016. The only thing good about it is the swirl despite being 1.6 gpf. Mgmnt came through and reduced them all to 1.0 gpf. OH LAWDY! Half the time 💩 didn't go down. Always wound up flushing 2+ times or with 3 gallon bucket assist. Good riddance. But only just the swirl was good.

I'd just switch mine back to 1.6 GPF if that happened. Nothing a little adjustment can't fix.

@@cameraredeye3115 They actually cemented bricks to the bottom of the tank. They had 10 spare tanks, put brick in them, came to our units and simply swapped the tanks out.
