You never mind when Tracey Ullman covers a great song ..she always does a great job ..

I had such a crush on Tracey Ullman back then, even though my tastes have changed over the years I can still see why I did.

I like both versions. Tracey Ullman is very talented. Kirsty MacColl was also very talented

I must have been living under a rock when Kirsty and Tracey were blasting the airwaves.

A truly brilliant and gifted comedienne , actress, and musician....

Such an excellent record all round, both versions deserved to be No. 1. Tracey was able to resurrect Kirsty's previous catalogue on her albums. The 80's were so competitive and people didn't take her very seriously in music due to her comedy connections though.

It's a lot of fun to play this version and Kirsty's version back to back to compare and contrast them. Listening to this music has been a joy for all of my adult life.

Normally I love Tracey's covers but this time I definitely choose Kirsty's original. Kirsty's version (and video) is absolutely brilliant.

Traceys version is a little weird. I Kirstys version I always felt like the whole video was purposing misleading us to think that the jock was Terry...and then at the end when the nerd knocks out the jock you realize...."oh shit....the nerd is really terry. Not the jock!" Tracy didn't interpret that the same way at all.
