Does the alignment for the IO auto adjust for ball placement in the hitting area? Meaning if I don't place the ball in the center of the hitting area will the screen adjust the alignment to where I placed the ball? I have a narrow room when I hit my driver I would be significantly off the the center line. Not having the aim on screen adjust to that would be a disappointment.

Yes, it does. You can place the ball anywhere inside of the hitting zone and your launch direction is measured from that spot.

A lot of people use nets they are an easy way for sure. I have a lot of viewers that do a mat and net with a TV off to the side and it’s still a nice simulator. Net return is a very popular one. shopindoorgolf.com/collections/the-net-return?aff=277

Did they mention release timeline for motion analysis and the new performance center? Did they mention anything about being able to set elevation on all practice modules?

There is not a set date for the software push, but they did say it’s coming soon. I will ask them about the elevation on the practice modules.

@ryancannon9314 I was able to confirm the full update with performance center, Live P2p, New Game Mystic Sands, and entertainment games with Putter will push out March/April and be available for Beta early February. Appreciate the update. Would love any and all pushing for elevation control in all modules. It's super confusing to users who aren't at sea level and I can't figure out what's taken them so long to make that change. Seems like a super easy modification.@@GolfSimulatorVideos

VG 3 looks really appealing. Is the Motion Feature exclusive to TM 4 or is it also available for the IO? Do you have information on when the new data for the IO will be released, and could you inquire if there are additional metrics planned? Thank you, I appreciate the format.

@niklasp.2689 The motion feature is for iO complete and TM4 subscribers. There are constantly working on development and I will keep everyone as up to date as possible on everything. The additional club data for iO that I have shown is slated to push out in a few weeks (estimated early February).

Thank you for your feedback! I really appreciate how you enthusiastically present the various simulators without being biased. Another question: The new Trugolf software, allowing the streaming of golf courses worldwide, seems to be a gamechanger. The concept of using geodata to essentially create courses themselves is likely the future. You seemed quite impressed with this feature. Regarding VG 3, discussions have mainly focused on graphical updates so far. I don't have information on whether Trackman has similar plans. Could you inquire about this in your next interview? What's your personal take on these developments?

@@niklasp.2689 I did get caught by surprised on the Apex on demand library. Seems like a great idea, I just am very interested on the fine detail they can provide for realism like buildings, signs, etc. that hand made courses of course have well done. Since it was new they could not really dive into it much, but the first look of graphics looked solid for being on demand and they claimed a small margin of accuracy for elements like trees, bunkers, etc. I just have to get my hands on it to test and show the viewers more detail to really be able to speak on it more. Trackman VG3 looks impressive for sure. The step to 4k was needed but the redo of all textures like 3D grass are most likely going to be a big step up from what I could see in the preview. I will spill the beans haha :), P2P is coming along with a new game and ongoing feature enhancements. I plan to cover these as they unfold of course, so stay tuned for more coverage!

Yes, Unity. Unity is huge I couldn’t imagine it even possible for them to go under :) Keep in mind tons of huge video game titles are Unity.

@@kevincompaney1503 I’ve always been told the lack of Unreal developers has always keep companies going Unity since they can staff for it easier. Unreal sure seems to have some impressive graphics from what I have seen in their demos!

Trackman in the biggest fraud in golf. I have been to numerous fittings in my 41 years of playing an have never received accurate info from it. A fitting 3 years ago, Trackman showed my 5 iron going 192 yards average; I have never hit a 5 iron more than 170 in my life on a golf course. Just yesterday, after playing a round in the morning, I went to an outdoor fitting for irons at my club. Using my 7 iron during the round, I hit it on average 135, not more than 140. My ball always stops within 1-4 feet after landing on the green, depending on the ball I can even back it up a foot or two. During my fitting, I was hitting my 7 iron 154. The fitter told me "spin is low, you probably have trouble stopping the ball on the green. Wrong. I hit a ball that I pulled to the left and it kept hooking, as the fitter tells me, while looking at the computer screen, ooh, a wicked slice. I said no, it hooked. He said trackman is showing a pull with about a 10 yard slice. The fitter also told me my club lie was too upright, they are standard lie with the toe slightly off the ground at address. He put me in a 1 degree flat head and every shot I hit was a 5 degree fade, trackman showing a nearly 0 (0.4, 0.1) club path direction at impact. This fitter did not know that the shaft flexes downward during the down swing causing the club to flatten; he never asked about my divots on the course. They are overwhelmingly flat. IMO Trackman is snake oil, just a tool for sales people to sell you new clubs or golf lessons.

Wow sorry to hear that. I actually have been getting fit for years at Carls Golfland here in Michigan using TM4 outdoors and it’s been fantastic. I wonder if they have an improper setup or something? If it’s outdoor and setup properly it’s tracking the ball so pretty tough to miss the distance unless settings are messed up. I would talk to a manager of the facility and express your concerns. @@GolfSimulatorVideosHappened at two different facilities, one indoors, one outdoors at completely unrelated companies. The last one, outdoors, I hit the $27 shaft farther, with correct amount of spin and I told the fitter I could feel this shaft working. He fit me to the $55 shaft even though it had 300 less rpm ball spin and 2-5 yards shorter. The first one was indoors. I found out later from a mutual friend that the clubs I was fit to were custom built by the owner and had been on the rack for two years. Yeah, it's a sales ploy, a scam.
