My first trip to the Scottish Highlands with visits to Eastfield Depot,then by train up to Inverness Depot and Station before returning back south to Perth station. All done on the 16th.Aprl 1988.
Wow i can see why this was one of your personal favourites Colin! Outstanding captures and shots, tell you what 406 made a really spirited getaway there and the clag was sublime haha! I really enjoy your wonderful achive footage, please keep it up, cheers Nick.

Spotted a couple of locos on my layout, 47461, in blue stripe Scotrail, and 47550, which carries Mainline livery on my layout! Also, two of the 47/7s, I identified one as 47705 "Lothian", which, in May 1989, was transferred to Old Oak Common, repainted and overhauled into NSE livery at Stratford, and denamed. It was the second 47/7 to leave, after 47714. What was the other 47/7 we saw at Eastfield speeding past? And, the switch from the 47/7 to 47654, for the push pull at Perth, any ideas what that was all about?
