Waveform’s new drum sampler is a fast and easy way to quickly create your own drum kits and start programming. It's as easy as sample, play, create. See it in action at www.tracktion.com/products/wa...
This increases my stance that that Waveform 10 is the fastest DAW to go from an idea to music. Thank you keep up the geat work. I think once things get rock solid with stability Wveform community will grow quickly.
You guys really nailed it with the drum_Sampler, love the ease of use e.g dragging samples to any pad and also 1 feature you forgot to mention, layering of samples.
This video has literally just saved my life! I'm trying to change from MacBook Pro to Surface Pro (easier for work and music production on one device), and my VST wont install. Fortunately I can load and save kits in here which is cool - I'll figure out where to load the sounds in my folders then access through Waveform. This is insane! I'll now have my drums on this Surface Pro as well... basically eliminating the expensive MacBook I bought last year. If anybody wants a beautiful MacBook Pro M1 16GB 256SSD.... lol < I doubt I'll need it after today. I can't believe the Surface Pro 5 (second hand) doesn't have a fan! I made a full beat on it yesterday... its insane! MacBook Air tech inside! Have a great day whoever read this far.
Wonderful. Absolutely made programming drum samples easier and more fun without an external plugin, was my most wanted feature so far. Quick question though, is there any way to edit velocity within the step clip for an individual note? I wanted to make ghost snares and I ended up converting from step clip to midi to make it happen because I couldn't figure out how to adjust velocity in the step clip ui. Much appreciated.
That looks nice. I like the step clips for programming drums, but previously, setting things up ended up being a bit fiddly. I look forward to giving this a go later tonight.
is this drum sampler available in waveform free? because I don't see it in my free edition. Also lots of functions like all the different samples in the browse section i don't see it in my waveform free please help. Need a better tutorial for beginners
i just want to map out a beat within my computer and no midi controller. how do i get there without those things? it doesnt allow me to change notes or anything. just lets me click it and makes a sound. i tried recording and then just clicking the actual pads to see if it tracks anything and that didnt work either. im trying to do this the cheapest way possible. i dont have an audio interface or any of that.
I am having trouble seeing the same tabs as you. For instance i dont see the "actions tab" in my broswer. as well as the note repeat option in the drum sampler. Is there 2 versions of this software?
@@utkarshnag6800 I figured it out. Its when you have the wrong audio output for track output. If you have it as your synth or the virtual midi it turns into piano.
Both the Drum Sampler and Multi Sampler include acoustic drum kits for rock music. Choose one of these and opt for MIDI clips over Step Clips. Or simply play/record the kit.
Maybe I'm missing something, but why do you need a sampler to play fake drum sounds? I remember when samplers were first introduced the idea was you could replicate real acoustic instruments. These drum sounds can be made with most modern synths. Again, maybe I'm missing something, but...
So the drum sampler adds a percussion themed UI to the sampler engine - using pads that are easily assignable to external pad controllers. The instrument is a sampler, so you can add any samples you choose - synthesizers are exactly what the name suggests - they synthesize drum sounds. You can use a synth to create drum like sounds and then throw them in a sampler to manipulate further - or simply make them more accessible via pad triggers. Samples are not 'fake' sounds - they are any snippets of audio you choose - could be real drum recordings or whatever
